• What exactly did the longnecks save the world from?
  • Honestly? Nothing. They thought they were preventing the sun from falling out of the sky when in reality, it was just an eclipse that resolved itself. Although that doesn't explain where the shared prophetic dreams came from...
  • It's implied the adults at least might have realized the world was not in danger as such, since Bron did give a wink when Littlefoot when he says they saved the world and no one else states that is what actually happened, other than Littlefoot and Cera who are just innocently naive. As for the dreams, the implication seems to be that all the Longnecks felt an instinctive need to witness the eclipse even if they couldn't understand or fully explain it. Sorta like how Littlefoot sees the spirit of his mother in the first film because he was listening to his heart.
