    Mantis recognizing Steve
  • How would Mantis know who Steve Rogers is, much less be on a First-Name Basis with the guy? The two never met each other in Infinity War, and barely interacted with him in Endgame since everyone was trying to kill Thanos. And since the Guardians left Earth and Steve became oldified pretty much immediately after everything happened, it doesn't seem like there'd be much time for Mantis and Cap to have encountered each other.
    • Most likely they met during the funeral and talked for a bit, maybe sharing stories of grieves and supported each other before leaving. Helps that maybe Rocket and Nebula told stories of what Steve had done for Earth and sees him as one of the universe's finest heroes.
    • Also, Peter Quill must've at the very least heard stories of Captain America when he was on Earth. The two may have talked after Tony's funeral. And this is ignoring the popular fan theory that Steve really is Quill's grandfather.
    • Blathering on and on about his Avenger "friends from work" might be yet another of the things Thor did to make the Guardians sick and tired of him by the start of Love and Thunder.

    Mantis drinking
  • Shouldn't alcohol be lethal for Mantis if she's part insect?
    • She is an alien, most likely her biology are different from Earth insect. It could help that she’s part Celestial.

    Nebula getting Bucky's arm
  • How and when did Nebula manage to steal Bucky's arm? And how would Nebula know he wanted it in the first place?
    • Rocket and Nebula could've had time to talk about what happened with Thanos so Nebula could've known about Rocket meeting with the guy with the metal arm. Moreover, it could just be a replica of the arm itself.
    • According to James Gunn, Nebula went to Earth to take it right off of Bucky because she was so full of Christmas spirit. Hey, it wouldn't be the first time he's lost the thing.
    • It's possible it was just an old prototype he wasn't even using anymore.
  • And how's Bucky going to get it back in time for Thunderbolts?
    • Rocket will probably just give it back. Or maybe Bucky may want an arm the Wakandans can't deactivate.

    GoBots
  • When Drax sees a man dressed as Cy-Kill, he gets pissed and Mantis says "GoBots killed his cousin". How does a cheap Terran children's toyline actually mirror down to the name an actual species out there in the universe?
    • Well, considering that the GoBots's sister series was once canon to the Marvel Universe, it's not out of the question that they could exist.
    • The answer is folks like Thor who have a ton of myths assigned to them. Aliens visited earth and the creators turned it into a toyline. The creators may have even been aliens who met gobots(or Gobots themselves).

    How is the Collector alive?
  • It's stated that the Collector sold Knowhere to the Guardians. How is he alive? The scene in Knowhere in Infinity War strongly implied that he died. While it was shown that the initial scene we saw was a construct of the Reality Stone when Thanos strips away the construct and we see Knowhere as it is where the Collector used to be was a skeleton so how is he alive?
    • Maybe he fled when he saw Thanos coming.
    • In the comics he's literally immortal. It's obviously not guaranteed that this carries over to the MCU version, but it's at least possible.
    • When forcibly asked he may have just given up the stone and Thanos let him go. Notice Thanos didn't try to kill the Avengers himself past the point he got the stones.

    Sudden jumping ability
  • Why did Mantis ask Drax to throw her over the gate when minutes later she displays the ability to jump that high on her own anyway?
    • It's possible that either there was more to the plan that she didn't get to say because Drax immediately threw her, or it was related to her drunkenness (which might include an incorrect assessment about how well she could have jumped the fence).

    What happened to the Benatar?
  • The Guardians originally got the Benatar after the Milano was destroyed on that forest planet in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and they were last seen still flying it in Thor: Love and Thunder. So why is it suddenly gone and replaced with the Bowie here?
    • They might have multiple ships now. The whole Knowhere rehabilitation thing seems like a major project, so it'd make sense if they have a few ships at their disposal. It is weird that it was quietly slipped in without explanation, though. Maybe Vol. 3 will fill in some gaps.

    Why did Ego spare Mantis?
  • He killed all his children who didn't show celestial powers, and Mantis clearly didn't have any, otherwise his plan would have gone underway earlier, and there's no way he didn't know she's his.
    • It was stated that her empathic powers helped him sleep. While she didn’t have what he wanted for first plan, he probably still thought that was useful.
