  • Why did Andrew drive into the lake in the first place? Was there no way to drive around it?
  • Didn't the soldiers notice that N!Xau is twice the size of the other children?
    • Played for Laughs. Neither the army nor the terrorists are shown as being particularly competent.
    • They may think that he is a classroom assistant to the teacher?
    • They simply aren't paying attention, and they aren't on guard for a possible infiltration of the kids by an adult, because it doesn't occur to them that anyone would do such a thing.
  • In the second film, didn't the protagonist explain to his children and the village by then that vehicles weren't animals? They had a driving lesson by then.
    • He might have explained it to them in a way they understood, i.e. none of them had seen cars before, so he likened it to something they would have seen plenty of: animals.
  • Not one kid got shot by the two gunmen that were playing cards? They had a good few seconds there.
  • How did N!Xau keep possession of the bottle after he was imprisoned?
    • Though the bottle was of significance to N!xau, it is probably of no special significance to anyone else, including the prison guards. The guards may just regard the bottle as one of N!Xau's personal belongings i.e. a makeshift water bottle, so held it for him, and gave it back when he left the jail.
    • I've only seen the film once, but it looked to me like he dropped it at the "crime scene", and towards the end of the film, he went back there, found the bottle, picked it up, and went on his way.
