** This is mostly using info from Phantasia which is well into this world's future but there at least it's implied that Elves don't care for Half Elves because they have the powers of being an Elf (a long lifespan and magic) but have more of a Human mindset than an Elven one. Elves live in isolated peace using their magic for work purposes only, at least according to them. It's mentioned that Elves were initially okish with Half Elves until one of them used their magic to murder someone which is a Elven taboo and hence they considered all Half Elves dangerous from then on. Whether this is Nature vs Nuture is debatable, but that's how the Elves see it at least. Note that Elves aren't all that fond of Humans either, there's a reason they live in isolation. When Cress's group needs to meet with the Elves they aren't really happy they have to let a Human into their village either but suck it up because they need their help to stop Dhaos from destroying everything. But since Humans only live a fraction of their lifespan and have limited power Elves aren't afraid of them like they are Half Elves. As for Humans vs Half Elves that seems to mostly just be old fashion jealously of their lifespan and powers and general bigotry.
