  • Sending messages to the previous loop. Since they know at least some voices are transmitted to the previous loop, why does nobody suggest Data simply start yelling the information he wants to send? He even knows Picard's "all hands abandon ship" sound is passed and should have started yelling when Picard started that.
    • They know that some words will be intercepted in the next loop, but they have no way of knowing that the same words are sent at the same time. It's like relying on a phone line that you know is faulty to pass on an important message; it might conceivably work, but there's no harm in finding a more secure method to send the message.
  • Why didn't they just decompress the shuttle bay AND use the tractor beam to push the Bozeman away? If it was an either/or situation it wasn't conveyed well, and there's no way they "wouldn't have had time" to do both.
    • A tractor beam would move the Bozeman but not the Enterprise. Decompressing the shuttle bay would move the Enterprise but not the Bozeman. Doing both would move both ships, and maybe the fear was that if both ships moved the odds of them colliding still would increase. But that's just a guess.
