• What is the deal with the outrageous disrespect the crew shows Kazinsky. He has the full faith of Starfleet, who is assigning him to major ships such as the Enterprise. Even crazier, even after the first insane jump that lands the ship galaxies away, they STILL openly treat him as a buffoon, before anyone aside from Wesley has any idea it wasn't Kazinsky.
  • If the crew's treatment of Kosinski is to be termed outrageous, it can only be explained by the fact that Kosinki's unprompted attitude towards them is nothing short of a full-blown narcissistic personality disorder. Indeed, after the first jump mentioned, Kosinki's first shown reaction is to patronizingly "admit" to the mistake of **trusting the Enterprise systems**, and implying the ship is at fault for not reacting the way he wanted. And Starfleet's faith is pretty clearly misplaced, it's just that it took a crew as talented and discerning as Picard's to finally detect and call out Kosinski's bullshit.
