Headscratchers from the main series:

  • How can Sean and Sydney survive in space?? They're humans, and they don't wear the right gear in space.
    • They wear Bortronian spacesuits. The matching blue jackets also have helmets and gloves.
    • They survive thanks to the magic of kids show logic.
  • Why is this show so against showing the other kids' parents? (besides Dr. Rafferty and Mr. Peterson, who appear in a few episodes, and Sydney's mom made an appearance in Back to Bortron 7)
  • How fast do Bortronians age? If the information given in "Jet Cooks Dinner" is accurate, one Bortronian year is two hours on Earth. If Jet is 63 Bortronian years old, he's 126 Earth hours old. That's about five days, six hours, meaning he's an Earth newborn.
    • According to the wiki, Sunspot is 899 Bortronian years old (1,798 Earth hours, 4.9 Earth years), which means he's about Mindy's age in human years.
    • We finally have a solution. This page says that Jet is 10 in Earth years, which means that six Bortronian years are equal to one Earth year. Sunspot would be approximately 150, as old as your average Earth tortoise. Carrot is 250, which means he's around 42 in Earth years.
  • How does the space-suit color system work on Bortron 7? Zucchini and Celery are siblings, but they have different color space-suits. Zucchini has a yellow space-suit, while his wife and child (Eggplant and Zerk) both have green suits. On the other hand, Celery's husband and child (Carrot and Jet) have blue suits just like her.
    • Most likely personal preferences, like having a favorite color.
  • In "Treasure Map", Jet includes the treehouse as a landmark on Mitchell's map. Mitchell remarks that the treehouse must be really old. Um, how can it be old when it clearly wasn't built that long ago? Also, Mitchell went to the treehouse in "Jet's First Halloween", so he should that it's still kinda new.
  • In "Tour Of The Solar System", Sydney says that Sean made it across the whole solar system and back without getting sick (well, she was wrong, but that's besides the point). However, since it's the first episode, as well as the episode that only explains the basic facts about the solar system, wouldn't that mean this was the first time Sean and Sydney went into space? Does Sean also get carsick? And even if he did, would Sydney even know about it? The implications are that Sean and Sydney weren't very close until Jet came into the picture.
    • I don't think it's the first time that they went to space. In the theme song, in order to prove the fact that he's an alien, Jet flies them out to space and back. Also, in the episode, Celery says that they have interstellar overdrive, and Sean says "How could I forget?", implying that he's been to space before. The episode may have been the first time that Sydney and Sean fly across the solar system, but not the first time that they have been to space. In my headcanon, Sean and Sydney were both loners until they both happened to see the Propulsion house land on Earth. Jet befriended both of them, and, despite their differences, Sean and Sydney also get to know each other well.
  • In "One Small Step", the kids land their saucer in Little Dipper Lake, where Mitchell is rowing a boat. When the kids are rescued by Mitchell, Jet explains that they built a super saucer and went to the moon. Later, Mitchell is invited to the kids' slumber party, where everyone, including Mitchell, sings about how hard it is to get back to Earth from space. So, does Mitchell now know that the Propulsions are aliens? And everyone is just okay with it? That's kinda surreal, that the Propulsions would so casually let another Earthie into their secret circle, especially one that has been actively pursuing their secret for some time now.
  • Why don't any of the parents wear wedding rings? I can understand Dr. Skelley not having one; it's never mentioned if she has a husband or not, so it's possible that she's a single parent. I can also get behind Carrot and Celery, and by extension, Zucchini and Eggplant, not wearing them; maybe they're not a thing on Bortron 7. However, Dr. Rafferty and Mr. Peterson have both been confirmed to have spousesnote .
    • Sydney has a dad; she mentioned having a dad in "Mindy's Mystery". A lot of cartoon parents don't wear wedding rings, probably because they're too difficult to render onto the character models. However, on Wallykazam, Wally's mom and dad both wear wedding rings.
      • Really? A ring can't be that hard to render. Birdo from the Super Mario Bros. franchise has been modeled with a big ol' diamond ring since 2003. This show came out in 2016!
  • In "Lone Star", why was Sunspot (Jet's own freaking steed) shown angrily pointing a shovel at Jet/Lone Star to get him to leave Boxwood Territory, and then leaves town with him?
  • Why is Zerk so prejudiced towards humans? And where did the "humans are bad builders" stereotype come from? Are Bortronian children force-fed anti-human propaganda in school?
    • It’s most likely just a rumor.
  • The Bortronians have been visiting Jupiter for centuries and even have a whole holiday centering around it (Red Spot Day). Then why did the Propulsions have to pick up a radio signal in the middle of nowhere and follow it to a star they already knew about, in a Solar System they themselves had presumably already visited, for the Bortronians to finally discover the Earth?
