• MissingNo states that most people catch Flying-Type or Psychic-Type Pokemon in order to facilitate their travels so they can return home whenever they wish. While this is a reference to how the move Fly could be used outside of battle up until Gen VII to make travels between towns easier, Teleport didn't work the same way, and most Psychic-Types can't learn Fly. The only ones that could either are also part Flying-Type, making it redundant, or a Legendary which is hard to obtain. It is stated that they used several TMs to develop a teleportation system between Pokemon Centers, but still...
