• The Unreveal: The film mostly leaves the cause of Florence's discomfort with sex as a mystery. During Florence's bed freak-out, a quick cut is shown of a scene from her youth, where it appears she is on a boat and someone—presumably her father—is dressing in the background. This strongly implies Florence's molestation at the hands of her father has left her with psychological trauma. Other reasons for her behavior could be that she is an asexual. As the time jump shows, Florence is able to marry and have children with another man; however, it is never explained how she overcame her earlier discomfort to sex.
