• When Shirou and Christia are imprisoned together and he's checking his menu for a tool he can use to break her magic-blocking handcuffs, he finds a file, that will take 28 hours to create, and that's with using one of the prison bars on the window as a crafting material. One has to wonder why he never considered using the cuffs themselves as a material, as that would immediately eliminate the cuffs, and stop Christia's desire to cut off her own hand in order to try and escape.
  • While the novel never answers this, the manga specifies that Shirou can only use iron rods as materials to make the file. Neither the cuffs nor the chain binding them is a rod.
  • In that case, why didn't he use the cuffs to make something else of a different material? Shirou doesn't necessarily need to make a file for the cuffs to disappear.
  • It's possible that due to its anti-magic properties, the cuffs couldn't be selected as materials until they broke the circuit.
