• If Tobin broke the loop and managed to prevent Becky and Cal from going into the grass, does this mean that another version of Travis is still alive in this timeline? He wouldn’t come looking for his girlfriend if she weren’t missing, right? Also, there still should be dead versions of Cal and Becky somewhere as well as another Tobin lurking in the field which is why I’m not sure it’s entirely impossible that another Travis is still in Topeka.
  • That's likely the case, yes. Because the loop was broken, Everyone Lives, although now there are two Tobins out in the world.
  • Well, everyone but Tobin's parents, since not only they were the first to enter the tall grass (excluding time loop shenanigans), but that family was likely the intended target since Ross was the first one to reach and touch the rock and he and Tobin are the only one to touch it until the very end of the movie, and the ones to fall victim to it instead of using its power to help. Still, Travis should be fine.
    • Except Tobin was initially lured in by the newly-arrived Travis, which makes it even more of a Mind Screw of the timey wimey variety.
• Becky decides to keep her child because, uh, a small boy shouted at her for thirty seconds? What?
  • Becky was already having doubts about the whole thing before, and the encounter with the strange child who was carrying the memento clinched it.
