The first thing Harold's mother says is about it is "they screen out the fat and the ugly". None of Harold's blind dates is ugly, but Candy is decidedly overweight. Maybe the blind date service said that in order to shut Harold's mother up?

* Mother and the dating service (and the viewers) may have different ideas about what constitutes ‘too fat’.

But Sunshine's reaction upon Harold didn't have to be negative or even as shocking as Candy's and Edith's because he failed to scare her senseless with a staged suicide. Anyway, Sunshine ''must'' have shown ''some'' reaction, and given her initial sympathy for Harold and her reaction upon his staged {{Seppuku}}, namely redoing her [[Theatre/RomeoAndJuliet]] act, this reaction was quite likely positive.

Did Harold decide to move in, at least for a little while, in order [[spoiler: to grieve for her death, and remember what he knew of her life]]?

!!What happened after Harold's mom found him and Sunshine?
Had she continued to believe that Harold had stabbed Sunshine to death, she would have called the cops, and the movie would have been over for Harold. So she had to learn that Sunshine was still alive by ''seeing'' Sunshine alive.

So what did Harold do, what did Sunshine do, and how come we never heard of her again?
