• Okay, I'm asking the burning question: how, in Act 2, is Shay able to use information only Vella knows, and vice-versa? At least Day of the Tentacle established that its protagonists had a way of communicating with one another (Hoagie talking with Bernard and Dr. Fred through the Chron-o-John during the "flush the plans" cutscene).
  • I came up with an explanation that I put on the WMG page. My theory is that at some point Vella found Marrik's earpeice that he used to communicate with Shay in act 1. Shay was still wearing his half of the setup and they put 2 and 2 together. That only leaves the question of why they didn't tell anyone.
  • Psychic link. It's foreshadowed in the scene where he aims at her specifically with Mog'Chotra without knowing. Whole program is made to exploit such a thing, actually.
  • With the way Vella talks during the "What was Shay's plush?" scenario, she sounds as though she's very unsure, so she probably just guessed and fortunately got it correct.
• How was Shay completely unaware that his parents were not computers? His mother has a framed photo of a young Shay, looking as if he is around 5, smiling and jumping around her and his father. Surely, Shay would remember something like that.
• Upon getting Gary, Shay mentions that he has a dozen of them. So where are they? No Garys but that latest one are ever seen, and he probably didn't discard them since his mother who monitors everything has no clue he doesn't like them.
