How insensitive the team is to Lance Sweets.

Seriously? Lance gets covered in blood, brains and bones after the Gravedigger gets sniped at her final appeal hearingand is obviously traumatised after the event. Booth just dismisses his behaviour since the shooting as Sweets being "off his game", while Hodgins is too busy enthusing about how he feels to give the man time to think. I know the team aren't the most emotionally tuned of people, but come ON. If it takes Caroline to make someone feel better, the guys are seriously lacking behind in the social skills department.

• I think they are all insensitive to Dr. Sweets very often, dropping by his office without an appointment, dismissing psychology as a 'soft' science', not calling him "Doctor" Sweets, to name just a few examples.
• I didn’t find them all that insensitive to him, they were all clearly worried about him but he kept insisting that he was fine so they decided not to push.

If one pays attention all of the characters actually have a reason not to be there for Sweets that has nothing to do with being insensitive. Booth is busy with dealing with a Serial-Killer Killer Cold Sniper, which likely brings up all kinds of emotional destress even before finding out its his old mentor. Brennan, even with Character Development, has difficulty gauging emotional needs in others and so would only be insensitive in the oblivious way.. Hodgins is dealing with his unresolved issues over The Gravedigger being dead while Angela is worried over his almost sociopathic glee over it. Wendell, the Squintern of the Week, has no relationship with Sweets beyond professional while Cam is always at the Jeffersonian, so wouldn't have a chance to reach out except by phone (which wouldn't seem appropriate). None of them are thus in a place emotionally or physically in a place to help Sweets besides Caroline who was present and thus can understand what he's going through.
