• Was there any possibility that Hattie’s peers already knew about Adam by hearing about him from their parents or older relatives? Nancy and Janet specifically torment Hattie and often they don’t do a very good job hiding it. Hattie assumes it’s because she’s shy, but what if they knew and were using it as fodder for bullying her?
