Despite being about two teenagers with less than 24 hours to live, They Both Die At The End has quite a few funny moments.
- After Rufus asks Mateo why he needs a Last Friend before starting his day, Mateo replies, "I think it’s insane to leave the apartment knowing something or SOMEONE is going to kill me. Also because there are “Last Friends” out there claiming they have the cure to death in their pants," bringing up the sexual predator he encountered earlier. Apparently, Rufus encountered that "dick," too.
- Rufus finds graffiti asking Lena to call someone back. Rufus notices that there's no phone number there and snarkily thinks, "Pretty damn hard for Lena to call you back, Person, without an actual phone."
- As Lidia lets off a Cluster F-Bomb while on the phone with Mateo, she hastily tells her infant daughter Penny not to listen to her.
