• Ron, fricking, Mael. Just about anything the man does onstage or says in interviews (whether intentionally or not) will leave you in stitches:
  • This infomercial for The Tropicana Hotel.
  • The now legendary "Ron Mael" shuffle.
  • In at least two taped performances of "A Big Surprise", Ron slowly gets up from his piano bench towards the end of the song, then suddenly picks it up, runs with it, and smashes it before calmly sitting down on the piano next to Russell or in the audience.
• The trailer for their documentary "The Sparks Brothers" has an amazing exchange between the Maels and the off-camera interviewer:
  Interviewer: Are you brothers?
  Russell: We are brothers.
  Interviewer: How did you first meet?
  Ron: We're BROTHERS. (Rolls eyes)
