Episode 1 - Pilot
- James, having burst out of the Goodman home and found himself in a large park, runs into two women jogging. One of them asks if he's a trainer, and invites him to feel the fat on her belly. He is clearly a little freaked out and bewildered by the entire experience.
Episode 2 - One More Notch
- At the hospital, James runs into a nurse with an old man in a wheelchair in the elevator.James: What are you in for?
Patient: Heart surgery.
James: Ah, I got a quadruple bypass right here, you're gonna be fine.
Patient: Doctors said it was seventy years of red meat that did it.
James: That's what they said to me too!
[nurse stares at him]
James: I mean, not seventy, obviously. That would be weird. I'm, what, thirty, thirty-five? Yeah, that sounds about right. - James takes Duval to the Chinese restaurant where he used to meet the head of the Chinatown underworld. It takes him a second, but he recognizes the new proprietor.James: Emma? Little Emma?
Emma: Who are you?
James: Sheriff Pritchard! ...'s son. His son. I'm his son, we're both—both his sons.
