• From the animated series The Busy World of Richard Scarry: in the episode "Hilda's Romantic Tea Party", Huckle and Lowly react with shock when they see Miss Honey and Bruno kissing, covering their eyes.
• The fire rescue in the book What Do People Do All Day? has an oddity; as the fire is burning at Huckle's house, Huckle is acting oblivious. One page even shows him throwing a paper airplane out the window as the fireman battle the blaze!
