Even in a series that deals with the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse, there's the odd moment of levity.
The Devil You Know
- When Jade discovers her contact Barry has become a zombie, and handcuffed himself to a bathroom fitting before he zombified to keep his wife Melinda safe, she points out that this is only going to end one way for her if Barry isn't killed. Melinda has this to say:Melinda: Marriage is complicated, dear.
- Followed straight after with an Shaped Like Itself moment:Jade: Where's the pocket book?Melinda: In his pocket.

The Light
- Baxter rolls up to a drone gunning down fleeing refugees while munching on a snack, then turns to the soldier driving him and asks if they're using rubber bullets. The brief pause before the soldier's unconcerned shrug is perfect comedic timing.
