• Chapter 18:
  • When Velvet shows off Anseidora to Izuku, she demonstrates its function by creating a replica of Port's weapon. She then follows this up by making a copy of his mustache, and then proceeding to mimic him, leading to Izuku laughing uncontrollably. And then Port shows up behind them, having come out of the teachers' lounge.
    Port: Well...good to know you kids respect me so much. (shoulders slump as he walks away) I'm going back into the teachers' lounge.
  • All of the girls in Class 1-A going gaga over Eri is both this and adorable. Then when Tokoyami unknowingly triggers the kid's Trauma Button and causes her to run off, the girls beat him into unconsciousness. Even Weiss and Momo join in.
• Chapter 20 is hilarity from start to finish, being a Shout-Out to the SpongeBob SquarePants episode Band Geeks, with Class B and Team JNPR acting out said episode in an attempt to do a performance at the start of the Sports Festival.
  • To start off, while the entire class is part of the band, Monoma griping about being a part of it means Nora had to drag him and several others to this...or threatened to hit them with her hammer.
  • Then when Jaune asks if anyone has musical experience, Ren asks if cooking instruments count, only to be told no.
  • Nora is a mix of Patrick and SpongeBob throughout the chapter.
    • First she asks Patrick's mayonnaise question to Jaune, with the food in question being pancakes. And then Jaune immediately follows this up by answering her unasked question about waffles.
    • Later, when she tries playing drums with Tetsutetsu, both place the sticks in their mouths and end up spitting them at Jaune, pinning him to the wall.
    • During the last night of band practice, her form of 'improvement' is chewing on a trumpet. Later when the students get into a brawl, Nora goes around hitting people with drums while laughing crazy.
    • On the day of the festival, she can barely contain her excitement, dancing around with a goofy smile which Jaune deems to be her "eager face".
  • Tsuburaba and Kamakiri play out the scene of Patrick kicking Sandy...with Tsuburaba being the one to do the kicking, pissing off Kamakiri and getting a trombone down his throat for it.
  • Day 2 of practice as Kaibara using his Quirk to twirl flags...except he goes too fast and ends up going out into the street and crashes into a car. Jaune can only fall into a fetal position as Tetsutetsu plays Taps.
  • Day 3: Somehow, Tsuburaba manages to get one thousand drums into the gym, hoping to impress the girls with a huge drum solo. He actually does very good, only to pass out right before he can hit the gong to end it.
    Honenuki: Oh yeah. That's really going to get the ladies' attention.
  • The band's attempt to play really loud results in every window at UA shattering, and Jaune flying through a wall.
