Evolution

• Gabriel wearing all the Miraculous at once (a total of 17 pieces of jewelry, some of it quite eccentric) looks just as ridiculous as can be expected.
• Ladybug and Cat Noir discuss what they should do next when suddenly a portal opens behind them, Monarch falls out of it and lands right on his face. Then he limps through another portal while the future Ladybug and Rabbit Noir show up and chase after him. Ladybug and Cat Noir can only watch in confusion.
• When Monarch breaks down unconscious at one point, Rabbit Noir pokes him with his stick a few times to see what happens.
• During one of his time jumps Monarch lands on the back of a car with Ladybug and Cat Noir in it. When the driver notices him in the rear mirror, he just speeds up and shakes the supervillain off. Monarch lands hard on the street and is almost run over by another car.
• Bunnyx doesn't miss the chance to make a selfie with the younger Master Fu. He is rather confused.
• Cat Noir speaks backwards for a moment due to a side effect of the Rabbit Miraculous.
• When Monarch is trapped in the past, he realizes that he can change the recent history to his advantage and starts to laugh diabolically. Then the adult Bunnyx shows up and simply lets him fall through another portal right beneath him. And once again the mighty Monarch has an undignified landing on his stomach.

Multiplication

• Ladybug starts the episode by deciding to track down Félix, since he's the one who stole her yo-yo and must therefore have some connection to Monarch. When explaining this to Cat Noir, she says that she mistook Félix for his cousin Adrien Agreste, and asks if Cat is familiar with him. On top of Cat being Adrien, there are no fewer than five advertisements with his face in the background when he stammers out that he's heard of him.
• It turns out the reason why Su-Han was absent is due to being distracted by modern commodities such as new shoes and a smartphone, which he used to watch cat videos for several months.
• Adrien is so shocked when his father accepts his request to stop being a model that he stands there gaping at Gabriel for a while before turning around and walking away.
• Alya reminding Marinette of the time she tried to kiss "Adrien's statue" in "The Puppeteer 2". Marinette is clearly embarrassed of this Old Shame.
• Right after Marinette declares she's going to give up on Adrien, Adrien calls her in the middle of the night to thank her for encouraging him to stand up to his father, much to Marinette's befuddlement and Alya's pure unadulterated glee.
  • Marinette initially told Alya to tell Adrien that she's not here. Alya then tells Adrien that Marinette told her to tell him that she is not here. Adrien doesn't catch on. When he tells Alya that his father allowed him to retire as a model Marinette immediately grabs the phone right off Alya's hands and Adrien is surprised but happy to see her.
  • Alya's huge grin while Adrien is pouring his heart out to Marinette. The moment Adrien hangs up she starts squeeing and goes into full Shipper on Deck mode. When Marinette still persists with her earlier stance, Alya puts her head in hands while recoiling backward before falling straight on her back on the bed with a "GAAAAAAAAAH! You gotta be kidding me!".
  • Adrien hangs up and mutters to himself with a sigh and the most idiotic love-struck smile possible that Marinette is special. Plagg flies by and remarks that Adrien is lying to himself if he still thinks that Marinette is "just a friend".
• The following day, Adrien tries to greet Marinette with a kiss to the cheek, only for her to pull away and offer a handshake instead. Alya and Nino's reactions in the background show that they're quite done with their friends' silly shenanigans. It gets even better when the same procedure gets repeated for weeks.
  • Everyone eagerly doing stuff to prepare for Monarch's next attack before eventually quitting whatever they were doing as he fails to attack Paris further for several weeks since then has a real New Year's Resolution-vibe to it.
• Ladybug and Cat Noir playing cards on top of the Eiffel Tower to kill time while they're waiting for Monarch to make his next move.
• When Ladybug and Cat Noir ask the freshly de-akumatized Tomoe if she has the Mouse Miraculous on her, she blatantly flashes the ring she and Gabriel/Monarch created while pretending to look for the pendant.

Destruction

• When Gabriel is quite displeased at listening to Orikko describe the limitations of his power and calls him useless, Orikko turns his nose away and states that he refuses to be talked to like this, leading five other Kwamis to scold Gabriel for his behavior and jeer at him "Meanie! Meanie! Meanie!" like a bunch of children. Gabriel is forced to command them to be quiet to get them to stop.
  Barkk: (sarcastically) Oh, very nicely done, you've offended him!
  Orikko: Not at all, I'm not offended.
  Sass: Are you proud of yourself?
• Alya quickly gets over her shock of Monarch being in Marinette's room to turn the tables on him by ostensibly revealing his location to Ladybug by pulling out her phone and recording him live. Marinette spends a second looking wide-eyed in shock when Alya faces the camera to her, probably not exactly overjoyed at being recorded in her pajamas.
• Philippe enthusiastically taking a selfie with Monarch. He wasn't told to do so by Ladybug to tip her off or anything, she just knew that he'd do that if Paris' supervillain arrived at his rink after she told him to promote the rink with such pictures of celebrities.
• Marinette's explanation of her masterful plan to Alya reveals that Cat Noir has been carrying a piece of paper marked with a juvenile insult in his bell for the entirety of Season 4.
• When Monarch breaks open a ladybug-themed keychain, finds a little paper with forty-two written on it and asks the Kwamis what it is Xuppu attempts a Mathematician's Answer by explaining the concept of numbers. Monarch Facepalms. Unfortunately, when Monarch asks about the key attached to it, Xuppu apparently likes the idea of ice rinks much more and ends up describing them when Monarch actually asked about a key since Xuppu was aware it's a key for a locker at an ice rink, though it still pretty much turns out to be useful for Marinette's plan.
• The full "address" Monarch pieces together? "42 Half-Wit Street".
  Cat Noir: (smugly) Heard that was your address.

Jubilation

• Upon hearing that Marinette is classmates with Adrien Agreste, Socqueline asks her if they're close. Marinette denies it...and then goes on to describe in detail what Adrien is like. Socqueline immediately concludes that the two of them are an item.
• Dr. du Bocquale kickstarts the episode's akuma attack events due to her latest scientific feat: she managed to combine tyrannosaurs' DNA with pigeons' to form dinosaur hybrids with giant pigeon wings, before her specimens broke out and started wreaking havoc on the Parisians. According to Nadja Chamack, mixing the two species is a source of debate.
• Marinette forgets to remove the Alliance while going as Ladybug. Upon returning it to Socqueline and seeing how many meters (and her path to return to the shop) she went in about 10 minutes, Socqueline asks her if she has superpowers to get that result (thankfully brushing it off as a bug). Marinette's panicked response says it all.
• Speaking of the Alliance Ring, doing some quick math on the distance she covered and the time she did it in clocks her at going as fast as a jumbo jet!
• Since Adrien is no longer a model, he has all the free time in the world to do what he wants. The problem? He has no clue what that is, so he spends his day playing video games in his room, which is littered with dirty laundry and junk food boxes.
• Plagg yells at the Alliance ring to cough up his Camembert already. Adrien has to remind him that the electronic device can't pick up his voice. The kwami has also somehow tricked the Alliance ring into saying whatever nonsense he feeds into it, such as "eating green cheese will make you live forever".

Illusion

• XY cannot keep up with Monarch's changing aliases. He starts by calling him "Hawk Moth" and, at his father's cues changes it to "Shadow Moth", then "King" (Bob Roth was miming a crown), before Bob finally gives up and scribbles the name on a bill of 10 euros.
• Adrien is utterly baffled at the sight of his father wearing an apron and cooking breakfast for him. At one point, his eyes follow the pancake Gabriel flips on the pan while he just stares slack-jawed at his father.
• Gabriel is almost comically outraged and about to hurl a cooking pan after getting cooking oil...on his apron.
• When Adrien tells his friends that his father is making an effort to actually be a parent and is even going to attend the parent-teacher conference that afternoon, Nino asks whether Gabriel has been akumatized without anyone noticing.
• Miss Bustier has figured out by the time Alya walks in that she and her friends are apparently just going to squish food onto Gabriel for some reason and seems to be in disbelief of the whole thing when she stops short of asking if Alya's going to do that too.
  • Meanwhile, Alya is putting on no pretense of being clumsy. She simply walks in stony-faced holding a piece of cake, and answers Miss Bustier with a deadpan "Yep."
• Monarch makes himself invisible and divides himself so he can sneak up on Ladybug and Cat Noir with Venom. A minute later, he's sent running by mice.
• Gabriel's illusion to fake an akumatization is comically over-the-top. Not out of character for Monarch, but definitely for Gabriel.

Determination

• Adrien looks at a watercolor painting of Marinette that Kagami made and Kagami promptly reacts by forcefully putting her phone toward him and declaring that he's going to ask Marinette out.
  • Even Kagami knows that going to a wax museum is an odd idea for a date and she makes this obvious.
• Marinette is hanging out with Rose, Juleka, Mylène, Ivan, and Luka when she gets the call from Adrien asking her out on a date. Once she reluctantly agrees, the girls wrap her in a group hug. The boys? Start throwing confetti. It seems like they had it ready to go just in case Marinette and Adrien actually wound up together.
• Adrien reminisces about Marinette mistaking him for a statue in the events of The Puppeteer 2. Marinette's sheer embarrassment the moment he mentions it is palpable and she tries to alleviate having tried to kiss him by pulling out measuring tape and hurriedly arguing if it can't even actually be called a kiss since she's not sure what's the official distance for a kiss anyway.
• Marinette tries to avoid Adrien by talking to the wax statues of Bob Roth and Jagged Stone as if they were the actual people she knows about instead. She snuggles her head against the bent elbow of André Bourgeois and asks him how his appointment went before he turns with an understandable "What?" as she does a horrified pratfall in realization that he's not a statue.
• Luka suggests "...a little nudge from fate." to help Adrien and Marinette get together. This turns out to be just locking Marinette and Adrien alone together in the room containing the statues of Paris' superheroes. Marinette looking away from Adrien and being quite terrified at realizing that this is happening has its own understated humor too.

Passion

• Gabriel invites Nathalie to have breakfast with him and Adrien, like a family. Nathalie makes no secret of how much she despises the idea:
  Nathalie: For Adrien, I will eat even your pancakes, sir. (sits down)
  Gabriel: Since we're family, you can call me "Gabriel".
  Nathalie: (angrily) How about "Gabe" while we're at it?
  (awkward silence while Gabriel and Nathalie glare at each other)
• Plagg is worried about possible world-ending ramifications of Adrien being in love with Marinette.
  Plagg: What happens when [Adrien and Marinette] tell each other how they feel and the feeling is mutual, huh? It'll take them two seconds to tell each other everything. I love you, you love me, kissy-kissy, I'm Ladybug, you're Cat Noir, BOOM! The end of the world!
  Tikki: Don't worry, Plagg, that's not going to happen. My holder has decided to run away from her real feelings to pursue an impossible love with Cat Noir instead.
  Plagg: Uh, just to be sure, sugarcube, you do know Cat Noir and my holder are one and the same person, right?
  Tikki: (cheerfully) I do, but my holder doesn't.
  • While Plagg is freaking out, Tikki is uncharacteristically unperturbed by the risk of Marinette and Adrien revealing their secret identities to each other, certain that there's nothing to fear since she knows that Marinette never gets anywhere with regards to being in love anyway.
    Tikki: You have nothing to fear. When my holder is in love, she never gets anywhere. She'll just knit hats and make very complicated plans that will never come to fruition.
  • And as it turns out, Tikki is wrong; Marinette/Ladybug/Lady Noire spends the entire second half of the episode flirting with Cat Noir/Mister Bug in increasingly unsubtle ways. Unfortunately for her, Adrien's obliviousness and his preoccupation with saving Nathalie prevent him from noticing.
• Monarch is apparently so impatient that he will use Kaalki to deliver his megakumas even when the target is in his own house. Poor Kaalki...
• Since it's not Adrien "Perfection" Agreste she's crushing on, Marinette has finally managed to get over her Gibberish of Love —right in the middle of an akuma attack.
  • First, Ladybug asks Cat Noir out to a movie while Timetagger is still on the loose, only to freak out when she realizes what she said. Later in the sewers, she calls him "kitten".
  • She only gets bolder when she wears the Black Cat Miraculous.
    Mister Bug: Shall we [deal with Safari]?
    (Mister Bug makes a move to go after Safari, but pauses when he notices that Lady Noire isn't following him)
    Lady Noire: You look good in red with black polkadots. It brings out the color of your eyes. (growls like a cat)
    Mister Bug: Uh... Thanks... I guess?
  • When Safari hurls a broken chimney at Mister Bug:
    Lady Noire: Hey! Don't you dare try to flatten my partner's gorgeous face!
    (Mister Bug gives her a confused look)
    Safari: Don't be jealous, Safari's gonna flatten yours too! (throws another chimney at them)
  • Then, when they find themselves in front of the movie theater:
    Lady Noire: (with a huge grin) I told you going to the movies was a good idea!
    Mister Bug: My suit has a really weird influence on you.
  • Lady Noire stops Safari from chasing after Mister Bug:
    Lady Noire: Hey! I'm the only one who gets to purr-sue him!
  • After the battle is over and the two are ready to part ways, Mister Bug realizes that they forgot something:
    Mister Bug: Uh, aren't you forgetting something, m'lady?
    Lady Noire: Uh, a kiss goodbye?
    Mister Bug: Our Miraculous?
    Lady Noire: Of course! I knew that. Obviously.
• Cat Noir is not happy to be pursued by sentient projectiles.
  Cat Noir: Will you stop following me? I’m not even an influencer. (Turns to Officer Roger) #Run.

Reunion

• When Joan is summoned via reunion, she asks what's so important that demands her help. A war? Dragons? Some other catastrophe?
  Marinette: Um... nothing like that.
  Tikki: The thing is, just like you, Marinette has fallen in love with the holder of the Miraculous of the Black Cat.
  Joan: I beg thy pardon?
  • Cue Tikki roasting Marinette again.
    Tikki: Well, that's what she says. But I think 'cause she's still in love with Adrien, but now that he finally loves her back, she's afraid and is running away from her true feelings by inventing new ones for someone who's even more inaccessible. Then again, I don't know much about romance, as you know.
    Marinette: (mortified) Come on, Tikki, I'm not running away from my feelings.
    Alya: (while keeping a lookout) You're running like you have an army of supervillains on your tail.
  • Joan then facepalms and demands that Marinette ends the reunion this instant, since she's not going to talk about romance, of all things.
• Roger receives the question “What colour was Henry IV’s white horse?”. He thinks it refers to Hank from the 4th Precinct, who doesn’t ride a horse. Roger eventually runs out of time just before he can say his answer: Brown.
• When the heroes come face to face with Pharaoh, Joan pulls out her sword and charges… only to go right through him.
• Plagg gives Adrien his kwagatama in the most cat-like way possible: he spits it like a hairball on Adrien's chest at a random moment, then looks extremely proud of himself for his gift to his holder.
• Marinette runs over to hug Joan but phases through her and falls to the ground.

Elation

• Marinette is daydreaming Cat Noir, saying his name lovingly, then noticing him standing on the roof across from her and yelling his name. Just before that when he jumped up on to the roof Cat Noir says how he wish he could see her only for her to come up to the roof of her home at that very moment. Both try to pretend they didn't just see each other.

Transmission

• In order to get the Ladybug Miraculous to Alya, Tikki waits until she's in the bathroom alone before approaching her. Plagg, on the other hand, throws his ring at Zoé's back when she's walking around in broad daylight.

Deflagration

• Gabriel, after discovering Scarabella and Kitty Noire’s true identities with his Alliance ring, celebrates dancing in a villain song, only to be stopped by Nathalie, who unamused asked him what he was doing.
  • When he asks if she can smell (the smell of victory), she asks “Have you been making pancakes again?”
• When Nino tests the warning music app, Mr. Damocles comes running out of his office in confusion.
• How do Rose and Juleka help Cat Noir recover the Ladybug Earrings from Monarchbug? Using an Akumatized Chloé as a battering ram!

Perfection

• Marinette attempts to get past how she Cannot Spit It Out to Adrien while practicing in front of a picture of him, finding she can't finish the sentence "I love you." She prints out a picture of a cow to place in front of Adrien's picture while she's finishing up so she can change the sentence to "I love moo". The cow looks ridiculous.◊

Migration

• Anarka throwing Bob Roth off her boat and into the water multiple times.
• Luka patiently talks with Marinette, Adrien, Jagged Stone and then finally Penny about their troubles one after the other, making him seem like the most emotionally-available person you'll meet.
• Gold Record's power is to turn anybody into an LP record. Funnily enough it also works on animals:
  • Cat Noir throws a rubber duck at Gold Record's record. When it turns into a record, music plays as it just keeps making duck sounds. Even better? Gold Record actually enjoys it.
  • Later the same thing happens with a pigeon. Unlike with the rubber duck, this time there isn't even music.
• Gold Record is given the power of Voyage, which he uses to chase Cat Noir across the city. At one point Cat Noir takes a moment to talk to Ladybug and when he realizes Gold Record just poked his head out from a portal, asks if they could have a time out. Gold Record, with the biggest shit-eating grin on his face, just shakes his head no.
• During the fight with Gold Record, Adrien is worried about where Marinette is. Luka, knowing both of their alter-egos, is visibly pissed and gives a very unsubtle hint towards Adrien that "Cat Noir" should show up.

Derision

• In the flashback, Mr. Damocles chides Marinette for her constant tardiness, which he gets tipped off to by “an anonymous informant”. He then throws out these Blatant Lies by referring to “the mysterious Chloé”.

Intuition

• Kim apparently hasn't really used a webcam and feels the need to get enough to fill half of the webcam's screen with his face, then he gets up and apparently failed to think about the gravity of sticking his butt toward the webcam, causing him to look a bit surprised while the rest of the class understandably laughs.

Protection

• Nino has taken over as the new guitarist for Kitty Section following Luka’s departure. Unfortunately for everyone, he’s way too enthusiastic.
• All of Marinette and Adrien's friends are attempting to set up a romantic moment between them on a ferris wheel, which neither half of the couple particularly enthused by. At one point, Marinette and Adrien simultaneously ask if they can get off now, only for everyone else to shout a Big "NO!"

Adoration

• Lila is counting down Three... Two... One..., and then suddenly Vanisher enters the room. Chloé asks Lila if she's a witch.

Emotion

• André needs to pause for a moment before giving Marinette and Adrien their ice cream to ask if there is going to be any drama.
• Argos randomly breaking out into a Villain Song.
• Chloé asks Marinette, who's disguised as a rich person, what the name of her servant is. Marinette replies that her servant's name is Chloé.

Pretension

• As Gabriel kicks Marinette out of his house, she delivers a stinging rebuke about how the reason his pancakes always taste terrible is because he relies on an old, outdated recipe, which she knew without even eating them because she's a baker girl. She then walks out with her head held high... and then, as soon as she's out of sight, has a hilarious Oh, Crap! expression as she realizes that she just talked back to her boyfriend's dad.
• Félix causally—and shyly—admitting to Kagami to following, stalking, and kidnapping her just to get to know her better, resulting in the latter to call the former out of his lack of social skills.
  Kagami: You are utterly incompetent at social relations.

Revelation

• Chloé is completely unrepentant about the fact that she's been cheating in her classes for years, secure in the knowledge that her father will get rid of any teacher who dares to correct her.
• When Lila first tries to summon Monarch, he refuses to Akumatize her, because he knows she'll try and get revenge on Gabriel Agreste for firing her. When she tries a second time, he hesitates, but ultimately delivers an Akuma because her anger is now focused on Marinette.
• One of Hoaxer's fake revelations is of Ladybug and Cat Noir being aliens with the ability to fart bubbles that destroy the ozone layer.

Confrontation

• Lila’s form claims she wants to end all political conflict, save the environment, and hand out free candy. She would’ve added “Be Marinette’s best friend”, but that’s one case of Blatant Lies she knows no-one will believe.

Collusion

• Rose threatening to kiss Mariette and Adrien since they haven't kissed yet.
  • The confused and exhausted looks on their friends' faces when the two go back and forth with the "You're perfect".
• The irony of Ms. Sans-Culotte - a revolutionary who wields a guillotine on a chain and wants to dethrone the current mayor of Paris - working with a supervillain named Monarch isn't lost on Ladybug and Cat Noir.
• Speaking of which, with "culotte" meaning "underwear", neither superhero wastes time before exchanging underwear-related puns about the villain. Turns out even if they do care about their teacher and have undergone a lot, Paris' superheroes are far from above some immature jabs in the face of danger once in a while.
  • Even better: "Sans" is a French word for "without", making her name "Without-Underwear".
• The reaction of Ladybug, Cat Noir, and Ms. Sans-Culotte to Mayor Bourgeois not only returning the teacher to position, but also stepping down from being mayor willingly was clearly the last result they expected.
• Chloé can't even pronounce the word "democracy" properly, having to be told by Lila how to pronounce it and still screwing up afterwards. Even better is that she is on live TV.

Revolution

• Chloé enforces a Day of the Jackboot as only Chloé can. She fires her butler by slamming a serving robot into him to take his tray and has history lessons rewritten to suggest that she’s Been There, Shaped History.
  • Despite being the absolute ruler of Paris, Chloé still attends school and expects Ms. Mendeleiev to deliver lectures.
• When Chloe's regime falls apart, the usually-stoic Gabriel and Tomoe absolutely haul ass out of the square.

Representation

• Plagg poking at the packaged cheese.
• The beating the Resistance gives to Nightormentor. From throwing plastic balls to a silver tin at him. Zoé and Nino at one point, hang onto his arm while Ivan uses decorations to hold him down and a protest sign to beat him. Alya even hits him over the head with a bouquet of flowers.

Conformation - The Last Day Part 1

• While some of the nightmares are disturbing, like Alya’s or Nathalie's, others border on Absurd Phobia.
  • Tom dreamt about Marinette not eating until she shrank down and was eaten by a mouse.
  • Mylène dreamt about aliens stealing all the trees from Earth.
  • Ivan dreamt that Mylène dumped him to save the polar bears.
• Plagg making funny faces and noises, and even twerking at the cameras in Adrien's white room, knowing Kwamis can't be detected by technology.
• Plagg wishing he'd pack a cheese sandwich while flying the English channel to get to Paris if he knew it would have been this long of a journey.

Re-creation - The Final Day - Part 2

• Bug Noire's first Lucky Charm: a piano and it falls on Monarch.
