- The Baldwin-Felts men's antagonization of the striking miners at their camp is interrupted by a passing group of hunters, leading to an amusing Snark-to-Snark Combat exchange between Tom and one of the gun-toting men.Tom: "Where'd you get that thing? The Spanish War?"Hunter: (smirks) "Naw. War between the states."
- When it gets time for Few Clothes to put a bullet in Kenehan's head, the scene is incredibly tense due to FC's reluctance. Fortunately, he's stopped by a union man who runs up and whispers in his ear that Kenehan has been revealed not to be The Mole. This leads to FC laughing and smiling uncontrollably with relief. Kenehan, who believed that they'd been out in the woods to resist the gun thugs and witnesses the whole exchange occur, is visibly confused.
