Iron Gold

  • Even though they've been married for ten years, Victra and Sevro are such Insatiable Newly Weds that Mustang jokes the two could single-handedly populate Pluto.
  • Sevro and Darrow return home from Mercury and find Pax sparring with Sevro's oldest daughter Electra. Sevro bets Aja's razor that Electra will win.
Darrow: "I'm not going to bet on our children."
Sevro: "I'll throw in Aja's Institute ring as well."
Darrow: "Have some decency, Sevro. They're children."
    Sevro: "And Octavia's cape."
Sevro: "I love the Ivory Tree. Where else will I hang my trophies?"
Darrow: "No Ivory Tree, no bet."
    Sevro: "Bloodydamn savage."
    • Dark Age reveals that before their abrupt departure from Luna Sevro wagered that razor in a bet with Sefi, and Sefi won.

Dark Age

  • Every time Mustang and Daxo act Like Brother and Sister.
  • Daxo's office is a floating skyhook supposedly designed to look like a human brain. From above, it looks like a pair of enlarged testicles. Only four people are brave enough to say so.
  • When discussing plans to sway Republic senators for an upcoming vote, Daxo chuckles and comments about how "victory will be ours". Mustang tells Daxo to stop talking like that, saying that the inside of his office being designed like a Supervillain Lair already makes him look like a Card-Carrying Villain. According to her, the only thing missing is him "twirling a mustachio."
  • In a private meeting to sway support for the troops on Mercury, the leading donors for the Silver bloc are reading a list of their demands. Bored, Mustang takes a page from Katniss Everdeen's book. Only instead of an arrow and an apple, it's a BFG and a priceless work of art.
Holiday: "Did you enjoy that, ma'am?"
    Mustang: "Far too much."
  • Mustang's narration can be quite snarky from time to time.
  • She even undercuts Sevro's attempt at a Stealth Hi/Bye
Mustang: "Sevro, stop wanking off in the shadows and come down."
  • When food and supplies begin to run low, Darrow orders Rhonna to see what food she can find in the pantry of Sevro's stateroom on the Morning Star. Rhonna is too scared to go, having heard stories from the other legionnaires about how Sevro booby traps his room. With a reluctant sigh, Darrow goes to do it himself... and promptly triggers one of said booby traps himself.

Light Bringer

  • When Lyria is waiting to be presented to Volsung Fa's court as Volga's prisoner, a Copper woman named Nicator gives Lyria an idea of what's happening with the internal politics of the Obsidian and offers her a pill. Lyria, thinking it's a Cyanide Pill, throws it out of the ship into the sea. Nicator reveals that it was a breath mint to help bear the taste of the muzzle Lyria will be forced to wear when being presented to Fa.
    • We then cut to Lyria wearing the muzzle, which she describes as tasting like rust and cow spit.
