• Cadia Stands: There is a scene in the beginning where a Cadian commanding officer is being briefed of their defenses. When the guardsman briefing her gets killed by a Tyranid spore mine, the officer acts mildy inconvenienced than horrified and simply wipes off the gore from her shoulders in annoyance.
• Artefacts: A very sick burn is delivered in the Chaos Terminator Squad. When one Chaos Marine expresses shock at how an emergency lamp could retain power after thousands of years of the ship being dead, another of his squad asks if after thousands of years in warp rifts witnessing sorcery and the miracles of the Chaos Gods, a lamp is what is fascinating to him.
• Double or Nothing: Hamilcar introducing himself and boasting of his achievements to his fellow Stormcast, only for the three to stare blankly, clearly having no idea who he is (to Hamilcar's annoyance). He does the same when he goes to Warboss Urgarrk, and the orruk bluntly tells him that he's never heard of him. Even the orruk who brought Hamilcar to his boss looks at Hamilcar's gryph-hound, Crow, and makes a gesture that reads "Can you tell me who the hell is this guy?"
  • After Hamilcar wagers to give Urgarrk his gryph-hound, Hamilcar apologizes to Crow, and the gryph-hound responds by giving him a Death Glare.
  • When Hamilcar defeats Urgarrk, he proceeds to sit on Urgarrk's throne as triumphant music plays in the background. The music quickly dies down when Hamilcar complains that the throne is terribly uncomfortable.
