• Natsuki returns to 221B Baker St. to find that Shizuru, in order to demonstrate how much Natsuki's smoking bothered her, had filled their lodgings with smoke from shag that "made ship's seem like a breath of fresh air". Natsuki vows to quit.
  Shizuru: Oh, thank God!
• After Natsuki and Shizuru have consummated their relationship, they find that Mrs. Hudson had been delivering tea, and left them a note, which revealed her to be a Shipper on Deck. It was a mere three words, but it got the point across. "It's about time!"
• As Natsuki is still suffering a wounded shoulder, the epilogue sees her with Nao serving in the role of her secretary, taking dictation. Sharp eyed fans will recognize the story Natsuki is dictating as "Silver Blaze", which gave us the phrase, "The curious incident of the dog in the night". Nao isn't getting the significance of that statement.
• After Shizuru reveals that Nagi is the one who tampered with Rena Searr's saddle on orders from John Smith, malaproper prone Haruka goes to arrest him. He angrily demands of her if she knows who he is.
  Haruka:Sure. You're an arrogant, vicious, manipulative arsehole.
  Yukino: It's 'assassin,' Lady Haruka.
  Haruka: Actually, I meant that one, Yukino."
