Turnabout AI

Defence attorney: Apollo Justice
Prosecutor: Klavier Gavin
Defendant: Trucy Wright
Victim: Valant Gramarye
  • When questioned about what happened on the night of the murder, "Athena" finds it appropriate to start by explaining how she was lying in Trucy's bed in her underwear.
    • While Klavier is confused by her testimony, Edgeworth isn't fazed at all.
  • According to Klavier, only plants are legally allowed to testify in court.
  • A bit squicky if Edgeworth is the same age as in canon, but here he is the classmate of Trucy Wright, who he's also dating.
  • Trucy sells drugs to save the "Galaxy Bank".
  • Apparently Klavier and his friends have a habit of breaking into Valant Gramarye's home and stealing all his computers.
    • Klavier has no problem admitting to his crimes in court because he knows there's no evidence to prove anything.
  • In the end, Trucy is pronounced guilty of voyeurism, identity theft and unlawful entry, despite it being a murder trial.
  • The Judge initially promises to go easy on Trucy by not giving her a death sentence. However, after Apollo suddenly confesses to being the murderer, the Judge changes his mind and decides on the death penalty after all. For Trucy.
    • Apollo's confession really comes out of nowhere considering he's been the Only Sane Man throughout the entire trial.

Turnabout TMI

Defence attorney: Phoenix Wright
Prosecutor: Miles Edgeworth
Defendant: Ema Skye
Victim: Dick Gumshoe
  • What's Ema's defense for why she wouldn't kill Gumshoe? She doesn't even like him!
  • When David Young takes the stand, Edgeworth starts asking random (and inappropriate) questions about his relationship with the defendant.
    • Afterwards, he even admits that his questions were irrelevant.
  • David and Ema have had sex in Phoenix's home several times.
  • When asked why he had drugs in his apartment, David explains that he was framed... by the cocaine dealer he'd stolen the drugs from.
    • The drug dealer turns out to be Trucy Wright, once again.
  • Phoenix needs to confirm with Edgeworth whether Trucy is a girl.
  • Edgeworth questions Phoenix whether he killed "Mr. Gump"note , to which Phoenix immediately confesses.
    • Phoenix further messes up Gumshoe's name by calling him "Richard Gumpper".
  • After Phoenix's confession, Edgeworth wonders how many times he killed Gumshoe.
  • Phoenix's inappropriate daydreams about others become a topic of discussion, instead of the fact that he just confessed to the crime the defendant is on trial for.
  • During the line of very irrelevant questions about Phoenix's daydreams, Ema chimes in to comment on how confused she is.
    • She's completely ignored, and Phoenix goes on to explain how his first kill was an adult rat.
  • Phoenix admits to wanting to help the prosecution, but Edgeworth isn't too excited about the idea.
Judge: I really don't understand why you're saying this in court, Mr. Wright.
Phoenix: I told you, I want to help the prosecution
Edgeworth: I really don't think that's necessary.
  • The video ends with Ema hitting on the Judge in order to get an aquittal, and him promptly calling for a recess.

The Creepy Turnabout

Defence attorney: Mia Fey
Prosecutor: Miles Edgeworth
Defendant: Pearl Fey
Victim: Polly the Parrot
  • Edgeworth thinks Pearl is too young to testify, but doesn't see any problems with her being the defendant.
  • As soon as she's put on the stand, Pearl angrily confesses to having murdered the victim.
  • The Running Gag of Gumshoe's name being wrong continues. He's now called Gumshaw.
  • Every time Edgeworth raises an objection, the Judge overrules it. Eventually he doesn't even listen to what the objection is.
  • Spark Brushel has changed his name to Ke'pli, and is the real identity of the great thief Yatagarasu.
  • Pearl (who is 9 years old) was engaged to Brushel in the past. Now Diego Armando is interested in her romantically. Yikes.
  • According to Gumshoe, Diego has access to "lethally lethal poisons".
  • The police have proof that Diego has committed several serious crimes, but he can't be convicted because they are unable to prove that he killed Polly the Parrot.
  • Out of nowhere, Pearl summons Phoenix to cross-examine Diego.
  • At the end of the trial, Edgeworth mocks Mia's closing statement, and then proceeds to give nearly the exact same closing statement.
Mia: The Prosecution has failed to provide enough evidence to prove my client guilty. That's all I have to say.
Edgeworth: That was a pathetic closing statement. The kind that makes me glad I'm not a defense attorney.
Edgeworth: The defence has failed to prove their client's innocence. That's all I have to say.
  • The Judge declares Pearl guilty and gives her the death penalty, but the bailiff notifies him that Pearl escaped the courtroom two hours ago.
    • She then shows up and happily explains to Phoenix that she escaped prison, while still in the courtroom.
  • At the end of the video, we find out that Maya is accused of assassinating "President Detective Gumzhoe".

The Nickel Turnabout

Defence attorney: Apollo Justice
Prosecutor: Franziska von Karma
Defendant: Phoenix Wright
Victim: Larry Butz
  • Apollo is forbidden from saying his or his client's names in court.
  • While explaining the case, Apollo says Phoenix and Larry grew up together. However, later in the same trial he claims that Phoenix had never met Larry.
  • Wendy Oldbag is Larry's roommate in this reality.
  • According to Oldbag, Larry was trying to peek on her while showering, so she stabbed him. Just to scare him, though.
  • Instead of the defense attorney, the Judge asks the defendant to cross-examine the witness.
  • Detective Gumshoe's name is now Gumshield.
  • Larry is apparently dating Maya, who is Phoenix's ex.
  • Phoenix was arrested for murder, death, treason and for having an unauthorized relationship with a "spirit channel".
  • Dr. Tofunote  conducted a hypnosis session on Apollo, which potentially caused him to murder Larry.
  • Kristoph Gavin is a legendary crime boss, and Franziska's father.
  • Phoenix Wright is reveled to be the Nickel Samurai, and Apollo is confused.
Apollo: What's that, some kind of movie?
Judge: The Nickel Samurai is a TV show, Mr. Justice.
Apollo: Oh, like Law and Order?
Franziska: More like Baywatch, but not quite so attractive.
  • Kristoph admits to attempting to murder Phoenix, and the only thing Apollo is concerned about is whether he missed his shot on purpose or not.

The Evil Turnabout

Defence attorney: Kristoph Gavin
Prosecutor: Manfred von Karma
Defendant: Matt Engarde
Victim: Juan Corrida
Judge: Dahlia Hawthorne
  • Maggey repeatedly contradicts herself on whether Matt and Juan were friends or not, causing Kristoph to slam his fist on his desk, clearly tired of all this.
    • Also according to Maggey, Matt stabbed Juan, but it might or might not have been justified.
  • Not long after Matt confesses to being a murderer on the stand, Kristoph makes an objection, but doesn't say anything- he just does his Laughing Mad animation from the good ending of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. Amusingly, Judge Dahlia sustains the objection.
  • Why did Matt kill Juan? They had a disagreement on which cooking oil to use.
  • Matt argues that stealing all of Juan's money after killing him was the right thing to do, because it was his way of remembering him.
  • After all this, Judge Dahlia pronunces Matt Engarde not guilty. Surprisingly, Manfred von Karma is the most moral person in this courtroom, and is very distraught.
  • Kristoph casually plans to frame von Karma for something so he won't be able to take revenge on Matt for getting away.

Turnabout Family

Defence attorney: Apollo Justice
Prosecutor: Phoenix Wright
Defendant: Vera Misham
Victim: Victor Kudo
  • When Frank Sahwit is called to the stand, Vera casually remarks that he kidnapped her at some point. No one seems to care.
  • Gumshoe's name is now Gumshire.
  • After Gumshire testifies that Vera, the last person to be seen with the victim, was seen covered in blood and holding a gun.
Apollo: (sheepishly) Do you have anything to say that doesn't prove my client's guilt?
  • As soon as Apollo learns that Vera has a son he assumes the child murdered Mr. Kudo without any evidence.
  • After finding a toy gun in Tyrell's bed, the police nonetheless check if it could be the murder weapon. Needless to say, it isn't.
  • Right after Vera protests the arrest of her five-year-old son, he shows up and cheerfully confessess to the crime.
  • Vera's five-year-old son Tyrell is represented by Tyrell Badd, a detective in his sixties who's older than Vera's father.

Turnabout Rock

Defence attorney: Phoenix Wright
Prosecutor: Klavier Gavin
Defendant: Wocky Kitaki
Victim: Viola Cadaverini
  • Phoenix seems to be actively against Wocky, his client.
Phoenix: Simon was in school that day, your honor. He was working so he could graduate.
Phoenix: A far better person than the defendant here.
  • After Edgeworth interrupts an awkward silence by stating that he believes in Wocky's innocence, the Judge has this to say:
Judge: OBJECTION! Miles Edgeworth, you are to never interrupt me again. You will also stay after class and write lines.
  • Wocky's father has apparently changed careers from being a yakuza leader to being the Yatagarasu.
  • Klavier raises an objection because Phoenix is asking irrelevant questions, but the Judge shuts him up and immaturely calls him "detectivepoo".
  • Phoenix invites Edgeworth to a rock-concert with him in the middle of his cross-examination. Klavier is annoyed, and the Judge is jealous.
Klavier: Are we serously letting this relationship develop in court?
Judge: Actually, no. I'd like to see Psychedelic Rock concerts too...
  • Klavier accuses the Judge of being either incompetent or lazy. The Judge admits to being the former.
  • According to Ema, listening to psychedelic rock makes you dumber. She doesn't approve, because she wants music to inspire you to do bad things. Klavier and the Judge discuss her claim.
Klavier: Objection! Intelligence does not determine moral choice. My music doesn't make people do bad things.
Judge: Yes it does. My entire family listens to your music while driving, and they have a tendency to drive on the wrong side of the road.
Klavier: Embrace the mango. Embrace the fruit. Embrace the milkshake.

TROLL Turnabout

Defence attorney: Miles Edgeworth
Prosecutor: Franziska von Karma
Defendant: Iris Hawthorne
Victim: Elise Deauxnim
  • Apparently Edgeworth is a rookie attorney, and a bad one at that.
Edgeworth: (Internally) Enough questioning, indeed. This trial is bizarre. A lot of the terms being said I don't understand— and the ones I do, like "homicide" and "the death penalty" don't make this trial sound like a fun time.
  • Gumshoe is called Ty Thompson, and gets flattering nicknames like "Imbecile" and "Rambles".
  • Oldbag (or Oldstand, as she's called here) is Iris' daughter and an expert on trolls.
Oldstand: I have 10 tattoos of trolls and I'm wearing a troll engagement ring today!
  • Elise Deauxnim had been googling troll costumes, among other troll-related things before her death.
  • Oldstand and Iris keep bringing up trolls, and Franziska gets angrier and angrier the more they're brought up.
  • Phoenix interrupts the court by saying that his mission is to keep the trolls from being revealed... and ends up revealing them in the process.
