• In the TV Series adaptation when Miss Murphy, leaving Juniper with her suitcase, presumably having been fired for her bullying of Addie and Keedie, meets a contemporary man who resembles the witch hunter Adam Quinn at the bus stop. They both look utterly defeated, bringing to mind Cruella de Vil and her gang in the police wagon at the end of 101 Dalmatians (1996).
