** What's more, there's a certain parallel between how she draws the line with each one. In "Keep calm and flutter on", she gets Discord to relent by saying "Not your friend", leading to him coming to [[ExplainExplainOhCrap his epiphany on losing his only friend]]. In this episode, Fluttershy finally kicks Zephyr out of her homestead when he says that sticking to a task "may be fine for [her] friends" but isn't for him, ''[[InnocentlyInsensitive unwittingly saying he's not her friend]]''. In both scenarios, the situation only changed once a member of the Flutter family said they weren't friends.

* [[url link /https://twitter.com/mktoon/status/731767457136828416 According to Word of God, Discord was meant to fill Jacob Marley's role.]] This makes a lot of sense because not too long ago, Discord was also evil and was eventually redeemed. So of course he would be the business associate of someone played by fellow former-villain Starlight Glimmer!

* Rainbow being able to bake a delicious cake makes a lot of sense. After all, one of her closest friends is [[SupremeChef Pinkie Pie.]]

Asskicking Equals Authority has been renamed.

** Adult dragons also seem terribly lazy, and violently territorial. It's entirely likely they don't really care about being Dragon Lord enough to leave their own fiefdoms. And Torch's challenge and style of ruling rely on AsskickingEqualsAuthority; he wouldn't be able to control a group of adult dragons through force.

* It may at first seem odd that Rainbow Dash doesn't try to fly away when cornered by the zombies, but the reason is clear when she tells them they can't have more cookies. Rainbow isn't really concerned about her safety or getting away, she just doesn't want the ponies to have more of what she believes is making them sick. She ''is'' the Element of Loyalty.
* The brick sandwich prank may not have been as dangerous or mean-spirited as it seemed, given that Pinkie and her family [[EatDirtCheap eat rocks]] with no ill effects. And even if it ''was'', it's possible Rainbow might not have realized it because of this.

* Why wasn't Starlight involved with the zombie prank? Well, apart from the obvious answer of how she wasn't pranked by Rainbow Dash, it's likely she saw Ponyville's prank as an act of revenge and knowing her history involving vengeance and what dreadful repercussions it nearly caused, it makes sense why she wouldn't want anything to do with the prank.

Alternatively she could just be out of town, traveling with Trixie to help put on one of her shows.

** Also, Thorax is a former villain who has reformed and wants friends but is hated by practically everybody. No wonder Spike and later Twilight jump to his defense. [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyEquestriaGirlsRainbowRocks They've seen this before]]. So they know how can such an experience affect somebody, and don't want anybody else to go througth that again.

Up To Eleven is being dewicked.

** In addition, it would scare any pony to do something they ''used to'' love doing, against their own will. Think about it, Big Mac used to talk because it was what he did whenever he felt upset. He eventually learned that talking isn't a bad thing, he just needed to do it in moderation. If you compared that to [[ObsessedWithFood comfort food]], then not only is it scary because Big Mac is trying to quit the habit, but it's like being under a spell that makes you [[UpToEleven force-feed]] yourself.

* The ponies were acting in a fashion similar to when they were influenced by the "Want-It-Need-It" spell in "Lesson Zero"

** Also in "Griffon the Brush Off" Rainbow Dash was going to prank Fluttershy until Pinkie Pie stopped her. This shows that Rainbow Dash doesn't always consider how the ponies she’s pranking might react to it and if they would find it funny.

Foe Yay has been cut

* The scene where one of Dr. Caballeron's henchmen buys a pillow with Daring Do isn't necessarily FoeYay. Note that she's captured in the picture, so it could easily be an allusion to an OffscreenMomentOfAwesome for the guy.
