Fridge / Werewolf (1987)

  • Eric sensed Skorzeny before he was even in sight of the Busted Gull. Ted said he'd been looking for the werewolf who bit him for months, having possibly been a werewolf as long as a year (based on Eric referring to enjoying the last few days of sun, and Ted saying "last summer's when it happened"), but he apparently never found him. Which means that Ted never went back to the fishing boat he'd been working on when he was attacked, never even went near it once while Skorzeny was aboard, during his search. Was he too traumatized to go back? Or did he subconsciously not want to find his attacker, out of fear or out of already starting to like being a werewolf?
    • Or perhaps Eric is a better werewolf than Ted, by nature or chance or whatever, and was better able to sense Skorzeny than Ted was?
  • Ted asked Eric to tie him up and sit with him until midnight. Eric dozes off, and when he wakes it's 12:20am, and Ted is just starting to change. But what would have happened if Eric hadn't dozed off, if he'd been awake as the clock struck midnight? Would he have started untying Ted right away? Would Ted have been free, and Eric much farther from the gun, when the change started?
  • In some versions of the legend, it has to be blessed silver or inherited silver in order to kill a werewolf. In An American Werewolf in London, David thinks a werewolf can only be killed by someone who loves them. Ted takes a silver cross he inherited from his mother, and tells Eric he'll kill him because he loves him. He hits all three points!
    • Rogan also uses silver from a cross, blessed in a ceremony on the reservation. It could have been inherited. No love lost between him and Eric, though.
      • Maybe that's why he hasn't succeeded yet?
