After her line "O heaven!", Silvia is silent for the remainder of the play, even as the men around her discuss her future (Valentine offering her to Proteus, Thurio pathetically trying to claim her, her father awarding her to Valentine, Valentine rejoicing that all is well). Is this because she is still, unsurprisingly, traumatised? It seems too much to hope for that she would never have to suffer any more contact with her would-have-been rapist, the best friend of her husband who is gleefully talking of "one house, one mutual happiness" without concern for how she feels about this arrangement. In addition, Proteus never actually apologised for trying to force himself on her - only for betraying Valentine's trust.
