- Fridge Horror: The implications of Bernard's Evil Plan.
- a) If World War III doesn't occur, the children will be confined for the rest of their lives to avoid irradiating others. Now that they know they are freaks and prisoners, they are more likely to Go Mad from the Isolation.
- b) If nuclear war does occur, the children will be released, but as there are only nine of them it won't be enough to repopulate the human race anyway. Plus they will be inheriting a devastated world.
- c) If Bernard is able to establish the circumstances of the original radiation accident, he would use this knowledge to irradiate hundreds or thousands of mothers to avert the above flaw in his plan. Furthermore, a successful project would mean that humanity would not be inevitably doomed by nuclear war, making such a war more likely to happen.
