* The reasons behind Odin making Thor's original human identity (Donald Blake) a physician have been well documented: by treating the sick and injured, the haughty and hot-headed thunder god is not only forced to learn patience, but also gentleness and compassion- traits which definitely help him attain the goal of learning humility. But how is it that Thor is so adept at this role that as Blake he is regarded as one of the greatest physicians and surgeons around? Well, not only is Thor from a society that, despite its somewhat medieval trappings, has science and technology far more advanced than any on Earth (making medical techniques child's play for him to comprehend), but as a warrior, the Odinson has extremely developed attention to detail, focus, poise under stressful situations, the ability to make crucial decisions swiftly, and is definitely no stranger to bloodshed. All such qualities being necessary for a successful and effective surgeon, and Thor has them in spades.

Fridge Logic goes on Headscratchers

* I don't know if this is exactly "Fridge Horror" or not, but in Journey into Mystery #645, it's revealed that [[spoiler: Hela is Leah]]. Now, think about that. Think about all the times Hela has appeared half/nearly naked. Or, more importantly, all the times she's helped Loki...it's rather touching.
* So Jormungand poisons the air with his breath. This is what will eventually kill Thor. But [[BatmanCanBreatheInSpace Marvel Thor easily survives in vacuums]], how would such a thing seriously be able to damage him?
** Skin contact, mucous membranes… not all airborne toxins need to be inhaled.

* It makes sense that Crusher Creel would be insulted by Female Thor just taking up Thor's name instead of renaming herself; one of Thor's previous [[LegacyCharacter successors]], Thunderstrike, saved Creel's wife from cancer and earned Creel's respect in the process. To Creel, Female Thor's behavior in just stealing Thor's name is insulting not only Thor, but Thunderstrike as well!

* In the very earliest issues of the comic, Loki is vulnerable to rain, which prevents him from doing his magic. While this at first appears to be an absolutely ridiculous WeakSauceWeakness for someone whose chief sparring partner is Thor and an example of EarlyInstalmentWeirdness, it actually has basis in mythology and folklore - frequently, one of the primary means of disrupting dark magic and one of the chief barriers to dark creatures is running water. Guess what rain is.

* Why exactly does Surtr seek to cause Ragnarok? Because aside from it being the only time he does anything in the mythology he is one of the few who survives it.

Thor\'s not a demigod. Neither was Diana when she lifted the Hammer, though she is in the New 52, and regardless, being a demigod is not a free pass to using Thor\'s hammer.

* One might wonder why WonderWoman was easily able to wield Thor's hammer. Aside from being "worthy", she's a demigod, just like Thor.

* Considering Marvel's love for alliteration and punny names for alteregos, Thor would seem to be an obvious exception. Except that the first name of his original secret identity, Dr. Donald Blake, is similar to the German name for Thor, Donar.
