Doesn't belong in "Fridge" because it's explicitly stated in the book why she went with Epigenetics: she saw the strategies used by all the others (including Aida) and believed NO fixed strategy could account for the needs and demands of future crises and to make them able to adapt and counter the many strengths and variations of Aida's numerous offspring

* Why Moira's descendants have the ability to alter their genetics, but against their wills: it was probably in response to all the other Eves wanting a fixed trait for their descendants. There's a good chance that Moira privately thought all of the traits each of the Eves chose was a faulty idea in some way or another, and to counter it, made sure her descendants would be ''forced'' to undergo change and deal with the unexpected.

* As mentioned above, President Julia's daughter had Down Syndrome. How did said daughter die? Did her mother give her "the pill" before taking off to save her own skin, or did Julia just leave her at the mercy of the Hard Rain? Was the girl high functioning enough to understand what was going on?

* Why Julia's descendants are all geniuses: her original daughter had Down Syndrome, and Julia clearly didn't care much for said daughter, [[KickTheDog leaving her to die on Earth while finding the time to save a member of her staff and her own skin.]] To be fair, even a ''decent'' parent who actually loved their daughter would likely want to fix or compensate for her disability in future children.

I don't see any reason to assume all his books are in the same continuity. Second, there's no indication they have to use humans as a base.

* "Seveneves" was published right after Literature/{{Reamde}}, a novel written and set a few years earlier. What happened to Dodge, Zula, Yuxia, and all the other characters we got to know and love in that book? What about the characters from his other books? Our only consolation is that most of Stephenson's protagonists are badass to be among the few survivors of the Hard Rain, or that his books don't all take place within the same continuity. (In that regard, we know that [[Literature/SnowCrash Hiro and Y.T. are safe, at least.]])
* It seems wonderful that spacers have all those wonderful plants and mammals around! But they didn't bring enough actual plant/animals, just their DNA. [[spoiler: Which means, all those animals/plants are modified humans. Everyone is a humanitarian!]].
