The end of Archenemies becomes far more horrible if you read up online on monarch butterflies and realize that adult ones live only for two to six weeks. Adrian, Oscar and Ruby are on a strict timetable for this one.
Thankfully Supernova alleviates this. Even if one of her butterflies die Danna is able to reform. This is how she gets out of Shapeshifter Mode Lock. Still never gets into the whole swarm, though.
