Since Midnight Madness runs wholly on the Rule of Funny, it is probably loaded with Fridge galore.
Fridge Logic
- If we didn't actually see what the kid was observing through the telescope, everything could have been wholly innocent. Venus being in another direction? The kid's reference to "Venus's two moons"? He might have confused Mars with Venus.
- The yellow team redials the telescope back to the orientation the kid was using, to throw off the next team, and it works — the team member who gets to the telescope becomes oddly preoccupied. But it's implied here also that "Venus" is a subtle innuendo.
