• The handcuffs that Gordon put on Ivy and Kite Man after both of them got knocked out by the gas symbolises the unhappy and toxic marriage they were about to enter. Harley taking them off represents how she was one of the main reasons Ivy and Kite Man broke off the engagement, but ultimately for the best for all sides involved.
• The Italian song Clayface sings is "Cielo e mar", a long song from the opera "la Gioconda". That opera features a love triangle where one lover allows the other two to be happy. Which Harley attempts, and is later done by Kite Man.
  • That particular song also fits the runaway scenario with Harley and Ivy due to the final lyrics: "Come, oh my Lady, come to the kiss of life and of love... oh, come!"
