* We know that Zeref and Mavis’ first kiss resulted in a {{Kiss of Death}} for Mavis. We also know that [[spoiler: August is their biological child that lived on in Mavis’ body despite her death. So how was he conceived if Mavis was neither alive nor conscious after her and Zeref’s first kiss? Makes you wonder what Zeref did before returning her body to Fairy Tail…]]

** Then there's a little hint in the very beginning of series, when Natsu successfully ate other element, used it and had no usual drawback--the chapter where he [[http://i8.mangareader.net/fairy-tail/3/fairy-tail-159818.jpg melted the Taurus' axe]] and [[http://i8.mangareader.net/fairy-tail/3/fairy-tail-159819.jpg got a power-up from it]]. He couldn't eat fire--it was his own, but metal, on the other hand... So yes, it wasn't asspull at all.

*** Technically, this also applies to Sting and Rogue, as they were the same age as Wendy when their dragons disappeared (the only reason they're adults when she's not is [[spoiler: the seven-year {{Time Skip}} that kept Wendy and the rest of the Tenrou Island group from aging]]. Although it's not as much of a stretch that they enhanced the abilities they had with their Dragon Force lacrimas.

* Though it's not life-threatening by any means, Lucy mentions that her rent due to her landlady was 5 880 000 Jewel upon her return from [[spoiler:Tenrou Island]], which basically amounts to 70 000 Jewel per month. She also mentions that the other [[spoiler:Tenrou]] girls staying in Fairy Hills had seven years of back payment as well - now, considering that they pay 100 000 Jewel of rent per month, this grand total comes to 8 400 000 Jewel for poor Evergreen, Juvia, Levy, Wendy and Carla EACH. Now consider that Erza rents FIVE conjoined rooms here - she's got to pay 42 000 000 Jewel! What a nice return present from the clutches of time! [[RealityEnsues They're damn lucky that inflation wasn't applied]].

* What would happen to Eileen if she decided to enchant herself into baby Erza? [[RealityEnsues Babies are developmentally unable to move bipedal, their digestive system can't process anything but milk for the first 4-6 months]] ... Even if she managed to overcome these things, how would she get food without contacting humans, who would surely freak out at a sight of a walking newborn baby? Unless she did that in front of the orphanage to pretend the mother (her body) died carrying the child, I guess she would just starve to death in the arms of her old rotting body...

** It could also be because Erza is the only other woman who has experience with pining. [[ChildhoodFriendRomance Afte all, she's been hot for Jellal for quite a while.]]
* Why did Gajeel become the Iron-Shadow Dragon Slayer? Simple. Because he '''''is''''' the guild's [[RuleOFSymbolism shadow.]] Handling missions that are of questionable nature, like spying, infiltration, and recon.

* During the second half of the [[TournamentArc Grand Magic Games arc]], when attacked by [[PaperTalisman Kamika]], Mirajane reveals that [[ReluctantWarrior she doesn't want to use her Satan Soul magic in front of others]], but will gladly do so when nobody but the enemy is there. Fast-forward to the [[DarkerAndEdgier Tartaros arc]], while Mirajane is enduring a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown at the hands of [[PeoplePuppets Seilah]], we see in a flashback [[spoiler: how Mirajane was [[AllOfTheOtherReindeer ousted from her home village along with her siblings]] after she's used her Satan Soul for the first time]]. And her [[HotBlooded hot-headed, slightly misanthropic]] personality from when she was a kid? Probably Mira was angry [[spoiler: with the world because of what they had done to her and her siblings]]. Only by being part of Fairy Tail's {{nakama}}, combined with her sister's death, did her [[TookALevelInKindness kindhearted personality]] take over.

** Not to mention it fits with their characters in a way; Natsu has a fiery personality, but he's also energetic like electricity. And GAjeel may be hard as stone, but he started out as evil (As part of a guild that is made around Darkness with the master involved). So really, it's more of an extension of their personalities as a whole as well. Not to mention that it was hinted that they can eat other elements as long as it's from a fellow Dragon Slayer. They can't just eat magic from random people if it's not their element, they need to take power from either a Dragon or a Dragon Slayer.

* [[IdiotHero Natsu]] is the fire dragonslaying student of a great red dragon that is king of the fire dragons. [[SealedEvilInACan END]] is a demon king associated with fire [[spoiler: what race of angel and form is Satan described as having?]]

*** Natsu awakened the demonic part of his powers only during Alvarez. Also, Acnologia pretty much confirmed that he never feared E.N.D when Igneel questioned him back in Tartaros.

* Why does Wendy's hair color change from blue to pink when going into Dragon Force unlike every other Dragon Slayer, all of whom keep their original hair color in Dragon Force? Well it's to match the person she looks up to and admires the most, Natsu, whose hair is also pink.

* Not so much Fridge Brilliance as Fridge Heartwarming: Lucy's last name isn't just a {{BilingualBonus}}. Heartfilia is a combination of the English ''heart'' and Latin ''filia'' (meaning "daughter"). Lucy hasn't always had the best relationship with her parents, particularly [[ParentalNeglect her father]], but we know from [[spoiler: his gesture during the First Time Skip (buying her a present on her birthday until the day he died)]] that he loves her fiercely. In other words, he [[CardiovascularLove hearts]] his daughter.

*** Even worse, the very first fish they catch is shown to be fully aware of it's imminent death right before they cook it alive (at least in the english dub of the anime)

* If Sting was still the SmugSuper he was before Natsu kicked his ass and Minerva's attempted invoking of the Power of Friendship, he might have been able to beat the weakened Fairy Tail team in the final round. But because Minerva awakened him to the power of friendship, he believed he didn't have a chance of winning because he saw how strong Fairy Tail's power of friendship was. In hindsight, trying to use the power of friendship to beat the guild who pretty much embodies the power of friendship was a really bad idea. Minerva's attempt at being savvy sealed Sabretooth's defeat! It reinforces her SmugSnake status quite nicely.

* Why does Mavis put so much faith into the 'power of feelings?' No, not just because ThePowerOfFriendship is downright {{Anvilicious}} in this series; it's because she knows ''first hand'' that having strong feelings such as love can make magic much, much stronger. [[spoiler:It is, after all, how Zeref [[KissOfDeath accidentally killed her]], despite her being immortal.]]

* One for August if you know Greek mythology. Zeus was left in a cave to survive his father and eventually go on to lead and rule the 12 olypians. Who else do we know was left in a cave and would go on to lead a powerful 12 person group?

** Natsu, of course, was never raised by a dragon, and might not even be the same Natsu since [[spoiler: without magical interference, Earthland!Natsu would have stayed dead after dying from sickness a thousand years before]]. Based on this logic, it’s also possible that the other Dragonslayers aren’t the same versions, and instead descendants of the original versions.

* Ever wonder why Dragon Slayers get motion sickness when travelling on sea or on vehicles but not while flying or walking? Judging from [[spoiler: Irene Belserion's]] past, first generation Dragon Slayer Magic is bestowed from dragon to human. In a way, this enhances the senses of said human to that of a dragon, especially the inner ear balance. It poses a problem for traveling methods that require a constant jittering motion (boats, trains, carriages, etc.). Flying and walking on the other hand is a smoother experience and is actually a dragon's natural means of movement, so it makes sense that these methods would not induce {{squick}}.

* You ever wonder why Aquarius was mad at Lucy for summoning her? 1 day in the Spirit World is at least 90 days in real time. This make you wonder how many times in a single day for Aquarius has Lucy called her. And there's the fact that she had a date with her boyfriend, you'd be annoyed too if some snot-nosed brat interrupted the same date multiple times just to throw water at someone.
** The reason was that she called her as a child, crying, imagine a girl who looks like a younger version of your former master, whom you respected, kept calling you while crying so many times a day? Of course Aquarius didn't know that [[spoiler: Lucy's father was emotionally abusing her, hence the crying...]]

* During the Eclipse Spirit Arc, it seems that each of the wizards face off against the [[WesternZodiac Zodiac]] sign that best describes their personality in terms of traditional astrology:
** Aries is a sign that denotes optimism, courage and impulsiveness - this is [[spoiler: Juvia]] to the core, especially when it comes to [[spoiler: Gray]]
** Taurus is said to be patient and dependable sign; with most of the people born under here having a [[BigGuy big, muscular build]]. Pretty sure that's [[spoiler: Elfman]].
** Geminis are extremely [[DeadpanSnarker witty]], restless and can sometimes be devious - show me [[spoiler: Gajeel]]!
** Cancerians are extremely protective of their home and family and very sensitive when it comes to mother issues - you'll make [[spoiler: Ur]] very proud, [[spoiler: Gray]].
** Leo is a sign for leaders, with their ambition, confidence but can fall prey to their vanity - all hail [[spoiler: King Natsu]]!
** Virgos are [[AwesomeByAnalysis highly analytical]], very helpful and tend to be a bit fussy at times - this is [[spoiler: Lucy]] through and through.
** Libra is a sign of peace, diplomacy and grace - no wonder [[spoiler: Yukino]] has the key of Divine Balance
** Scorpios are unapologetically passionate, far edgier than the rest of the Zodiac and are most prone to alcoholism and gambling - [[spoiler: Cana]], it's like this was made for you!
** Sagittarius likes adventure and is very athletic to a fault - it's little wonder [[spoiler: Erza]] did battle against the Centaur.
** Capricorns like tradition, learning and are very wise - who better to face the Sea-Goat than [[spoiler: [[BadassBookworm Levy]]]]?
** Aquarians are defined by their kindness and desire to make the world a better place - seems [[spoiler: [[NiceGirl Wendy]]]] would be perfect for facing the Water Bearer.
** Pisces are highly sensitive beings who devote their entire selves to their loved ones - [[spoiler: Mirajane]] fought against the Twin Fish.

** Whatever Erza [[spoiler: Nightwalker’s]] backstory is, it must be radically different than Erza’s: Edolas has no dragons, meaning [[spoiler: Irene]] never through the horrible things inflicted on her that caused her to abandon Erza in the first place; there was also no Tower of Heaven, which thrived on an insane amount of magical power and would have been instantly detected by authorities even if someone in Edolas were insane enough to try it.

** The Edolas versions of the Strauss siblings were never forced out of their town because Edolas!Mira never had a Satan’s Soul to scare the villager’s with; the banishment was also what made Earthland!Mira gain a punkish personality, which is why Edo!Mira is the cheerful counterpart to Earth!Mira — Edo!Mira never had that push. Additionally, Earthland![[spoiler: Lisanna’s]] death during a guild job is what pushed Earth![[spoiler: Elfmen]] out of his wimpy ways and become more “manly,” which Edo![[spoiler: Elfmen]] never had.

** It’s no wonder Markarov and Faust are so different — knowing what we do about Markarov’s past, ''his entire history was rewritten''. Yuri never learned magic, never became a Fairy Tail wizard, and possibly never met his wife Rita. That meant Markarov’s life never centered around Fairy Tail, leaving him free to discover a different purpose…which could very well be ruling a kingdom.

** It’s no wonder Markarov and Faust are so different — knowing what we do about Markarov’s past, his entire history was rewritten. Yuri never learned magic, never became a Fairy Tail wizard, and possibly never met his wife Rita. That meant Markarov’s life never centered around Fairy Tail, leaving him free to discover a different purpose…which could very well be ruling a kingdom.
