Of course, if any character would suggest Violet to trash-talk her opponent, it would be a rebellious teen like Lena.
The Aesop of the B-plot of the episode is that, instead of blindly following the trace of great adventurers of the past, a real adventure is making your own discoveries while building on their heritage. This can be seen as a meta-commentary on the philosophy of the creators of this series, who, instead of remaking the classic Disney Duck stories one-on-one, they tell new, original stories inspired by them.
Why does F.O.W.L. choose to bug Donald rather than hide on one of the characters or keep a safe distance for spying? Because Donald being unlucky means he will never successfully swat the mosquito.
The "Nandi bear" the Ducks encounter in the woods has a mane and spots similar to a spotted hyena, and also seems to have opposable thumbs on its paws. Real-life Nandi bear sightings in Africa are often attributed to incorrectly identified hyenas or baboons.
The episode makes clear that Violet has succeeded in gaining more merit badges than Huey due to skipping out on attending official Junior Woodchuck troop events and social gatherings in favor of finding opportunities where she could earn said badges. However, there's another, more obvious reason Huey doesn't have as many badges: in the time he's spent throughout the series traveling the globe and adventuring with his family, he's been missing out on chances to earn more badges that would've been available to him if had he stayed home in Duckburg.
Then again, throughout Huey's adventures, he likely has accomplished feats that were worthy of badges. Launchpad is a scoutmaster, and he was there to witness a number of Huey's feats, but likely didn't bother to reward him.
Doofus Drake being a Woodchuck is a reference to how he was also a Woodchuck in the original series, but here it would've been out of character for him; it would make even more sense that his parents enrolled him so that he can learn a lesson in humility, and they likely enrolled B.O.Y.D. to make sure Doofus stays focused.
Lena being so easily welcomed into the Sabrewing family is probably because, being a same-sex relationship, at least one of Violet's dads isn't biologically related to her and they likely would have also talked about adoption at some point in the past before Violet was born. Lena herself also never got to experience what a traditional family was like and only cared that her two new parents just unconditionally loved her for what she is.
Fridge Logic
If Della and Donald were members of the Junior Woodchucks as children, how come they didn't recognize the Tittertwill Bird of Knowledge earlier on in the episode?
For Donald, he was kicked out early on so he never knew of the lore regarding the Tittertwill. As for Della, we don't know how involved she was in the Junior Woodchucks both during and after adolescence so it's possible that she didn't know about the bird. It's also worth mentioning that her decade on the moon may have impacted her knowledge of the JW mythos.
Della was probably an average or slightly above-average Junior Woodchuck, whereas Huey's shtick is that he's a TV Genius who knows every little bit of Woodchuck lore.
