• Air Marshal Harris wasn't being selfish when he refused to supply bombers to support the raid. Despite the underhanded way he refuses to give the necessary aircraft, his dialogue underlines his sincere belief Bomber Command's work was supremely important to the outcome of the war, and that their ability to prosecute the war would be harmfully impacted by a "Dickie Mountbatten sideshow."
