Sogo being able to master mech-moura, and utterly curbstomp Gus, while Puck is also firing at him, may come out of nowhere for most fans, but aside from the foreshadowing in Sogo's profile, there's something else to consider. Sogo learned his mechanical and analytical skills from being together with his mother in her lab and watching her work since he was one year old or younger, making him an excellent technician without an actual degree. What most fans don't realize is that Sogo's been with Do Mon, the guy who officially trained Gus, even longer than he's been with his mother, and has been watching the guy at work too. Considering that Do Mon's skills are still top-notch, Sogo must have been picking up pointers for quite some time.
