Fridge Brilliance
- Albinism is recessive and is therefore only expressed when both parents have the gene for it. Rinzou had the gene and passed it to Tamaki, so it was expressed in Utsuro. Doubles as Fridge Horror.
- Continuing off this train of thought, the fact that Ayato constantly mentions Mishiro resembling his sister makes much more sense. They are, after all, biological cousins. When we finally see Utsuro's portrait, she even shares the same face and eye shape with Mishiro.
- It makes a lot of sense that Rinzou and Tamaki's spirits would be trapped within doors in the Realm of Beauty and the Realm of Death, respectively. Rinzou was a dedicated artist, so it makes sense that his spirit would be in the Art-themed realm. As for Tamaki, it makes sense that her spirit is in the Realm of Death as its tagline is "No life can live before a distorted wheel.", which is a perfect reference to how Tamaki's mind was distorted by her trauma of Rinzou at the moment she was behind the wheel when Ayato was run over."
- It is common for those who attempt suicide to suffer from some memory loss, amnesia or brain damage as a result of being brain-dead for a time. So it makes sense that Mishiro forgets a lot of memories (even her own mother), in the endings in which she awakens from the Mirror World.
