* When Baby is reciting the plan for the second heist, one of the instructions is that the participants buy their disguises separately to avoid suspicion. The fact that the three masks are all of Film/AustinPowers means JD bought all three of them instead of just his own, which is bound to raise suspicion. Yet another sign of JD being a [[TooDumbToLive major liability that had to be taken care of]].

There's no indication that he's mad about anything beyond the time they're wasting, and there's no real fridge horror involved in arguing against taking a few seconds to release a child. It's surface level.

* When the second robbery has the crew be forced to abandon their getaway car and force out a woman out of her car as a replacement, there is a small baby in the backseat. When Baby removes the child from its seat and hands it over to the mother, Bats reacts angrily despite it only taking a few seconds. Bats seemed to have wanted to use the child as a hostage or just not care at all if the child got hurt or abandoned when they switched cars again...or worse.
** When the women says she has a child, Bats angrily yells "I got one too!" Assuming he was telling the truth, let's hope he's a DisappearedDad.
*** Or even worse, considering Bats and that he isn't hesitant to kill people without thinking twice about it, it's not out of the realm of possibility that he WouldHurtAChild, and his child is far away and adopted by a loving family.

* Why did "Soldier Boy" have a fully automatic [=MP5k=] in his truck? It's not uncommon for armored trucks with cargoes in excess of a specific amount to have plainclothes "chase cars" following them.

It's pretty standard to shoot at the chest.

* Baby shoots a now-crazy Buddy in the chest rather than more lethally in the head. Seeing that Baby is generally hesitant with lethal force and Buddy was always the nicest to him and only turned mad because Baby got Darling killed, Baby could have deliberately aimed to wound or disable so his target would be arrested rather than killed.

"Home invasion" is robbery, not burglary. He's invading a home and robbing the occupants, not slipping in and pilfering items while they're away or asleep.

* JD's actually not all ''that'' stupid. Doc introduces him by saying "He puts the Asian in ''home invasion''". He makes so many mistakes because he's not a bank robber, he's a ''burglar'', and this is likely his first open heist. Burglars usually don't carry guns (it's an escalation of their charges if they get caught), which explains why he was so forgetful about it, while the poor mask shopping can easily be explained by burglars not usually wearing masks.

* Baby mentions the Music/TRex song "Debora" to Debora, but pronounces the group's name like "Treks" - Debora doesn't know the song but does know it's pronounced "tee rex". This fits both of their characterizations- Baby listens to a lot of music, but doesn't often get to talk to others about it, so he might have no idea how to even pronounce the names of certain artists or songs he likes. Meanwhile, Debora might not be as familiar with T. Rex, but has heard their name said aloud before.
** Debora may not know of the band T. Rex, but she knows how to pronounce the name because it's also the shortened version of name of the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

* At first, Bats' educated guess about Buddy and Darling's backstory seems like just that -- a guess. However, Doc told Bats the story of how a driver -- Baby -- once lost the police in a famous chase, a story Doc didn't bother telling Griff. Bats is also canny enough to notice the police are behind the weapons deal, and paranoid enough that Doc dropping his real name -- Leon -- is enough to get him to fall into line. In short, Bats didn't figure out Buddy and Darling from their habits, but from having previously heard their reputation.

* There's a lot of this with Baby and Joseph's relationship. Part of the reason why Baby doesn't talk much and finds it difficult to express himself verbally could be ascribed to him having spent a lot of his life living with a deaf person, which combined with his habitually listening to music constantly and his natural introversion means that he hasn't ever spent much time learning to how to talk socially with other people, resulting in most of what he does say being parroted from other sources.
** This little tidbit also explains how Baby can get away with having his earbuds in during the briefings Doc gives his crew just before the job - Baby doesn't need to listen because he can ''read lips''. Going by his [[SmugSnake wry smile]] to an increasingly annoyed Bats as Baby repeats, word-for-word, what he just said, Doc is well aware of Baby's competence and idiosyncracies.
-->'''Bats''': ''[after hearing Baby repeat Doc's brief]'' Well, ain't y'all cute.
-->'''Doc''': [[LikeASonToMe That's my Baby]].
* Joseph being Baby's foster father: Baby was probably kicked out of a few foster homes for either behavioral issues or his budding criminal activity if he finally ended up with a deaf black man for a foster father. It's unlikely that he would've been the first choice to raise a pre-teen white male orphan. Joseph is probably the one who finally taught Baby what he was doing was wrong.
** Depending on how bad Baby's hearing damage initially was, it's also possible Joseph was the first person to speak with Baby in ASL instead of spoken English, which might have helped. Other people treat Baby like he's slow because of his issues with hearing and speech, but Joseph has no reason to think a disability with respect to one thing would make Baby incapable of being an autonomous adult.

This is personal analysis, not fridge brilliance

* When Bats goes on about how the robbers' intended targets have stolen from them, at first it seems like BlatantLies, but it's more like the driving metaphor of his criminal philosophy -- railing against systematic injustice by taking on banks, law enforcement, etc. is a really common motivation for sympathetic outlaws in fiction. In his eyes the history of predatory banking practices means they ''are'' getting their own back. In his eyes he's more like the protagonists of ''Film/HellOrHighWater'' or the pop culture version of UsefulNotes/JesseJames than he is like Buddy, a Wall Street crook who as Bats observes probably stole more money in that capacity than any of them ever will as ordinary thieves. Trying to blow a working-class post office teller's brains out just because she got in the way isn't exactly a principled act, however -- not unlike the real-life versions of those same vaunted outlaws, who were generally more interested in making a buck than in upholding their rebel ideals and fighting the system.

* Doc's willingness to help Baby after Baby blew up the Postal Job seems incredibly out of character except when you realize that Doc' wouldn't have known that it was ''Baby'' that caused the job to go sideways. Doc stays far away from the jobs while they are in progress. He wouldn't have known the details of how things went down just that people are dying, the cars have been ditched, and everyone's cover has been blown. This isn't how Baby works at all. This is how ''Bats'' works. Doc would have heard about the shit show that the Postal Job turned into and assumed that Bats, rather than the usually pacifist Baby, had gone off the rails again. So, when Baby calls Doc, Doc thinks that his Lucky Charm is asking for help not the kid who purposely screwed up the whole thing.
** Even if Doc knew the entire story, Bats was still responsible for the job going sideways by his unnecessary killing. Doc is willing to kill, true, but only when necessary. The jobs he plans are supposed to happen quickly and with no killing if possible. Murdering someone unnecessarily in broad daylight only guarantees more police attention. If Baby didn't kill Bats, you can bet Doc would have.
* Bats wasn't actually going to shoot Deborah in the diner. Even though he's established himself as willing to kill on a whim, he's still not a stupid crook who would kill a random waitress through a method as loud as a gun (there's no gunshot when Bats kills the gas station clerk offscreen, suggesting he picked a more subtle method.) What's more likely is that he figured Baby was lying about not knowing her and decided to call his bluff.
