May we introduce the wayfarers:
The Maharaja of Canarsieactual identity , The Gin of Rummyactual identity , and their accompliceactual identity .
In their 96th short subject, the Stooges are sailors that that are shipwrecked on Dead Man's Island, where they get sentenced to be executed after none other than Curly flirts with the governor's fiancée, Rita.

Fortunately, Rita helps the Stooges escape by disguising as three wayfarers, but as they escape, the governor's secretary was able to notice them and informs him about it, whereas he sends word to Black Louie, whom the four are off to bribe to leave the island.

"Maha?" "Aha?" "Razbanyas yatee benee futch ah tinney herongha, you got any tropes?" "Razbanyi siati benefuchi timiniharongi paraleechemahiha! Soitenly."

  • Continuity Nod: Suggesting being burnt at the stake originates from the Stooges' 1935 short "Restless Knights", 90 shorts back.
  • Mythology Gag: The "Maha" sequence originates from the 1945 film Time Out for Rhythm, which was a routine the Stooges suggested to their boss.
  • No Fair Cheating: As Larry tries a pinball-like machine, he tilts the machine after losing, followed by a hammer, installed above, hitting him for that. Fortunately, this becomes useful during the fight scene.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: The Stooges are disguised as wayfarers who bring gifts for the governor, but as they leave, the governor's secretary was able to notice them; thanks to Curly.
  • The Smurfette Principle: Rita. She helps the Stooges escape and has the trio bring her along in return. She assists the three throughout the premise.
