Moe! Larry! The cheese!
Horses' Collars is the fifth short of The Three Stooges. Released in January 1935, it's one of the first entries of the Stooges into the Western genre.

The Stooges are private detectives in the Old West, sent on a mission to retrieve a client from losing her rightful ranch.

Tropes

  • Added Alliterative Appeal: The Inn the Stooges investigate in. "Double Deal's Five D Delight! Dice, Dancing, Dames, Drinking and Dunking!"
  • Berserk Button: Curly goes nuts whenever he sees a mouse. The only way he can calm down is if cheese is stuffed into his mouth. Though this actually saves Curly from being hanged at one point, and helps him defeat the bad guys at the end.
  • Clueless Detective: The Stooges, naturally.
