Authors, and Websites

shinealightonme

  • Recommended by sixofravens
  • Synopsis: Author of multiple one-shots and multi-chapter works. Shinealightonme has a lot of Pynch works, that are usually AU. They are incredibly well written and emotional
  • Comments: If you're more into Bluesey than Pynch, you probably won't find that here. Often they are not even featured in the stories. Basically I recommend everything by this author, but I'll put my favorites down below.

Shipping Fics

Stories focused on the romantic relationships between the cast.

Worthy of a Crush Universe by sksai

  • Recommended by sixofravens
  • Status: Complete
  • Pairing: Adam Parrish/Ronan Lynch, Tad Carruthers/OC, Matthew Lynch/OC
  • Warnings: none
  • Word Count: 88,115
  • Summary: “Adam Parrish is wantable, worthy of a crush, not just by anyone, but by everyone at school, apparently. Do you enjoy copious amounts of time jumps, cracky situations, POV shifting, unnecessary original characters, and Tad Carruthers? Then this is the fic for you.”
  • Comments: This series is heavy on the OCs but they are all incredibly enjoyable to read about, and honestly I cared more about their relationships than the Pynch. Each story in the trilogy feature a different couple and how they get together and it is honestly so real, true, and incredibly lovely to read.

Finding That Love Song by LydiaStJames

  • Recommended by sixofravens
  • Status: Complete
  • Pairing: Adam Parrish/Ronan Lynch
  • Warnings: none
  • Word Count: 190,447
  • Summary: “Ronan Lynch dealt with his father’s sudden death by plunging into music. With high school coming to a close, and without any ambition to go to college, Ronan convinces his best friends to start a band. The only problem? They’re in need of a vocalist, and the young mechanic with the perfect voice is playing hard to get. (In other words, the gang makes a band AU.)”
  • Comments: It's a band AU, what more could you want? But seriously, Lydia is one of my favorite TRC fanfic authors, and this fic delivers. It's very slow burn, has great twists, and definitely worth the novel length.

(The Time It Takes) To Believe In Fate by LydiaStJames

  • Recommended by sixofravens
  • Status: Complete
  • Pairing: Adam Parrish/Ronan Lynch
  • Warnings: none
  • Word Count: 100,057
  • Summary: “When he was 16, Adam walked into a forest in Henrietta, Virginia and exited in 1800s Ireland. The day he spent with the grumpy but attractive farmer lingered with Adam for years, but the forest didn't seem like it would appear again. That is, until Adam returned to Henrietta for his father's funeral and the forest calls him back once more. To Ronan.”
  • Comments: This is, without a doubt, my favorite TRC fanfic ever. The writing is beautiful, as is all of Lydia's works, but the plot is also super interesting, especially if you're into to time-travel fics. Honestly, even if you're not in the fandom, I think you would enjoy this. Lots of unexpected twists and a great ending.

No Hard Feelings by sksai

  • Recommended by sixofravens
  • Status: Ongoing
  • Pairing: Adam Parrish/Ronan Lynch
  • Warnings: none
  • Word Count: 20,217
  • Summary: “Source(s): Dude just trust me.”
  • Comments: Yes, that is the real actual summary, but I swear it's really good. It's sort of superhero AU but it's much more focused on overcoming trauma and PTSD with superpowers being used as a metaphor. It does have Kavinsky in it as a redeemed good guy, so if that's not your thing than you probably shouldn't check it out. It's not finished yet, but I really like it so far.

what useless tools ourselves by shinealightonme

  • Recommended by sixofravens
  • Status: Ongoing, but each installment is standalone
  • Pairing: Adam Parrish/Ronan Lynch
  • Warnings: none
  • Word Count: 75,308
  • Summary: "It's kind of about fake dating and it's kind of about friendship and it's mostly about casual revelations that I spent time in Los Angeles, because that's my wheelhouse. Some day there will be a Sarchengsey installment, probably.”
  • Comments: This is a series that has about nine stories so far, but they also work as standalones. It starts as a fake dating AU, but also has all sorts of other romantic goodness. The second one is my favorite, so definitely check that one out.

faith, hope, all that bullshit by shinealightonme

  • Recommended by sixofravens
  • Status: Complete
  • Pairing: Adam Parrish/Ronan Lynch
  • Warnings: none
  • Word Count: 18,216
  • Summary: "Ronan never actually proposes. Adam doesn't technically say yes. If they wind up married Adam is going to count it as a freaking miracle.”
  • Comments: This is the fic that made me love shinealightonme. It basically started out as the author exploring the idea of Adam taking Ronan's last name, which I couldn't really see, but they had me convinced by the end. It's super well written, as all of her stories are, and I love their wedding. Please go read this right now. It's pretty long, but totally worth it.

General Fics

famous prophets by Anonymous

  • Recommended by Kvera
  • Status: Complete
  • Pairing(s): Adam Parrish/Ronan Lynch; Richard Gansey III/Blue Sargent; Adam Parrish/Blue Sargent; Richard Gansey III/Adam Parrish
  • Warnings: none
  • Word Count: 5664
  • Summary: Adam Parrish is right about Gansey all along.

"Ganseys were creatures of habit, and he wanted Adam here, and he wanted Noah here, and he wanted everyone to like him, and he wanted to be in charge."-The Dream Thieves, Chapter 52

  • Comments: This fic is a darker take on Gansey and I absolutely love it. It's lovely how the author manages to twist Gansey's love for his friends into something much darker without loosing any of it. I also think that doing this from Adam's POV was a stroke of genius because Adam is a person naturally inclined to analyzing others and so watching him dissect Gansey's attitude and motivations feels both in character and riveting.

For Me to Know and For You to Find Out by Quartz502

  • Recommended by Paddywhack
  • Status: Complete
  • Relationship: Maura Sargent & Blue Sargent
  • Warnings: none
  • Word Count: 916
  • Summary: Maura knows how to make Blue's life interesting...

  • Comments: An interesting ficlet that touches upon Maura's psychic powers, and how she uses them to tease her daughter.
