The Lion King: Legacies
is a series of Lion King Fanfictions, by Haradion. It's the sequel series to the The Lion King Judgement Trilogy and a part of The Saga of the Broken Throne.
The series abandons the framing device of the previous series in favour of a more traditional third person story. The story begins in the Pridelands, which are subject to a devastating invasion by powerful warlords, assisted by an Evil Counterpart to Rafiki. The series has Epic Fantasy tones, and has been compared by some readers as "Lion King meets Lord of the Rings, or Game of Thrones". It includes fantastical and mystical elements previously only hinted at in Lion King lore, and also expands on the worldbuilding. After the fall of the Pridelands in the early chapters, the series is built around Simba's Grandchild and his surviving family and friends as they attempt to escape their enemies, and eventually fight an extremely asymmetric battle against the invaders.
The story is set after the events of The Original Movie and its sequels as well incorporating the events of The Lion Guard.

Tropes found in this story include:
- Oh, My Gods!: As in its prequel series, the characters use the phrase "Great Kings" in this manner. "King's Blood!" is similarly a curse.
- Scavengers Are Scum: Gradually averted as hyenas get additional attention in this entry.
- Unstoppable Rage: The Shai'tan fight in different ways, but some of them explicitly channel their fury and anger into this.
- Would Harm a Child: The villains of the story spend a considerable time hunting down children, fullying intending to murder them.
