The Harder They Fall
is a Massive Multiplayer Crossover story between The Owl House, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Amphibia, Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, Voltron: Legendary Defender in which the heroes of several realms are called to deal with a great threat.
- The Call Has Bad Reception: The pillars are meant to call for the heroes of several worlds for aid against some mysterious threat, but they don't always work effectively, and not every hero from each realm makes it. For instance, the pillar on Etheria activated the portal before it could send the message of who it was calling for help, and only started relaying the message after sucking Adora and company through and closing said portal, and the Las Vistas portal didn't manifest the portal until Kipo punched it in frustration for it continually telling her to go through a portal that wasn't there and not responding to her questions, after which it sucked her and Wolf through while leaving everyone else behind. This is even lampshaded when the group is doing an inversion of 'I Never' to break the ice and learn more about each other.
- Dumb Struck: After being in mega-mute form for a while, Kipo has a tendency to slip in and out of being non-verbal once she reverts to human, to her frustration.
- The Empire: The threat that the heroes were brought to fight is called The System, basically an authoritarian regime without a central ruler.
- Grew Beyond Their Programming: It's noted early on that Darla, the AI for Mara's former ship, didn't really have a personality before Entrapta's repairs.
- Hope Bringer: The heroes were chosen to bring hope and stop the System, the ship given to use as their base even being called "Hope".
- Massive Multiplayer Crossover: There's five different series that the various protagonists come from.
- Polyamory: There are two polycules to start, and the tags indicate that more will follow.
- Eda, Camila, and Raine are all in a relationship.
- Sasha, Anne, and Marcy are together as well.
- Trauma Button: After what happened with the portal Hordak and Entrapta made, Catra has a full-blown PTSD attack due to the mysterious new portal. When they get warped from the meeting point to the ship Hope, she has another one.
