Sorcerers of Signal Hill is an Amphibia fanfic written by AdmiralDT8
. It serves as a sequel to his previous Amphibia fanfic, Loyalty Among Worlds starring his Amphibia OCs: Darrel Loyaliat, Tint, and Cronaxx Tormak. Taking place 25 years after the events of Loyalty Among Worlds, Darrel and Anne have since married and now are parents to three children, Cyrus, Alexis and Timothy. The children discover that they may also have magic via a family photo taken of them and their parents, Anne and Darrel. Meanwhile, on Amphibia, Sprig, Ivy, Polly, Tint and Maddie discover prophecy in a cave whilst being led out by an olm.
It started on June 17, 2023, and can be read here. It has been on hiatus since September 2023 as a result of Loyalty Among Worlds being deleted pending a remaster.
This fanfic provides examples of:
- Age Lift: Sprig, Ivy, Polly, Maddie, and Tint are 10 years older than they were in Loyalty Among Worlds.
- Artstyle Clash: Zigzagged. Like with Loyalty Among Worlds, the screenshot edits mostly look as if though they would come straight from the actual show. However, there are times when the edits look off, due to reusing poses, renders, and backgrounds, and the characters looking janky, and appearing off-model.
- Children Are Special: Only Cyrus, Alexis, and Timothy are able to see that their eye colour changed in the family photo whilst Darrel and Anne can't.
- Continuity Nod:
- Darrel acknowledges that Cronaxx was the creator of the Calamity Box and that without it, they won't be able to revisit Amphibia.
- In chapter 2, Darrel recalls when Hop Pop hid the box from him and Anne when discussing about whether or not to tell the kids about Amphibia.
- Parental Obliviousness: Darrel and Anne are unaware that their children may have powers.
- Reused Character Design: Both Alexis and Timothy's baby designs are the same as their older brother Cyrus when he was an infant. Just with different skin colors. Alexis is even just a slight recolour of Molly Jo with minor differences.
