- Alternate Universe Fic: A What If? with the change that Mr. Pigeon is more ruthless when he has the heroes caged.
- Bittersweet Ending: Marinette is too exhausted and filthy to participate in the hat design contest, and Chloe wins with her stolen design. However, Marinette is able to prove the theft, giving the victory to Rose and Juleka.
- Continuity Nod: The rooftop of Le Grand Paris hotel is the scene for the caging. There is a pool there, which was covered in this episode. The heroes use it to wash Chat Noi's right hand so that he can get them free of the cage with a Cataclysm.
- Death Trap: Mr. Pigeon puts the heroes into a messy deathtrap.
- Dung Fu: Mr. Pigeon weaponizes pigeon poop far more than in the original.
